Before you start.
- Establish which of the three channels sold you the subscription. GameChanger lists the iOS App Store, the Google Play Store and its own website, and states each method requires different steps to cancel.
- If you have a Family Plan, note it is always a website subscription. GameChanger states a Family Plan is purchased through its website and is cancelled like other web subscriptions, and that only the family organizer who purchased the plan may make changes.
- If you are inside a free trial, count the days carefully. GameChanger states the trial is 7 days and that if you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription automatically converts to the paid plan you selected before the trial began and you are charged.
- Know that the current period is not refunded. GameChanger states that cancelling does not refund or prorate the billing period you are already in.
- If you took an annual plan, the renewal is a year away and easy to forget. GameChanger sells Plus and Premium on both monthly and annual cycles, and an annual plan renews annually rather than at the end of a season.
- An individual subscription does not stop when you join a Family Plan. GameChanger states that if you have an individual subscription it stays active unless you cancel it, and that any remaining time is not prorated or transferred.

Cancel a subscription bought on the GameChanger website
Use this for a subscription bought at gc.com, and for any Family Plan, which GameChanger states is always a website purchase.
- Log into your account on web.gc.com.
- Click on Account.
- Click on Manage Subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
GameChanger states that certain subscriptions purchased on GC Classic and merged into the new GC website will not display the cancel button, and that if you do not see it you should create a ticket with its support team for assistance.
Cancel a subscription Apple bills
GameChanger routes you out to Apple from inside its own app, because Apple holds the subscription.
- On the Home tab, tap on your Account in the top left corner.
- Tap Manage Subscriptions.
- Choose Cancel Subscription and complete the cancellation flow.
- After cancelling you see a confirmation message, and your subscription details update to show your plan's expiration date.

Cancel a subscription Google Play bills
The GameChanger app hands you off to Google Play, which is where the subscription actually lives.
- On the Home tab, tap on your Account in the top left corner.
- Select Subscription.
- Tap Manage Subscription.
- Tap Cancel on Google Play.
- Choose GameChanger from the list of subscriptions.
- Use the Cancel Subscription button.
GameChanger states that if you are being charged but do not see GameChanger in your list of subscriptions, it may have been purchased by a different Google ID, by a family member, or billed by someone other than Google.
What happens next?
- GameChanger states that cancelling stops the subscription renewing, so you are not charged again after the current billing period ends.
- GameChanger states that cancelling does not refund or prorate the billing period you are already in, so the time you have paid for runs out rather than coming back.
- A free GameChanger account still works after cancelling. GameChanger states that with a free account you can manage your team, score and livestream games, use the team calendar and messaging, watch game animations, receive scores and alerts, and watch up to five free live baseball or softball streams, with unlimited free live streaming for other sports.
- Coaches keep free access to teams they manage. GameChanger states that coaches automatically get free access for the teams they directly manage, with no action required beyond being listed as Staff.
- Cancelling a Family Plan affects everyone on it, since GameChanger states the family organizer manages billing for the plan and up to three other members share it.

There is no cancel button on my GameChanger account page
GameChanger documents this exact case: certain subscriptions that were purchased on GC Classic and merged into the new GC website will not display the cancel button. GameChanger's instruction is to create a ticket with its support team for assistance, since there is no self-service route for those accounts. Check first that you are not looking at a store-billed subscription, which also has no cancel button on the website by design.
I am being charged but GameChanger is not in my store subscriptions
GameChanger gives three causes and they apply to both stores: the subscription may have been purchased by a different Apple or Google ID, by a family member, or billed by someone other than Apple or Google. Check every account in the household, and check the merchant name on the statement, which names the company actually taking the money.
My free trial converted before I expected
GameChanger states the free trial period is 7 days, and that it applies whether you signed up through the iOS App Store, the Google Play Store or the GameChanger website. If you do not cancel before the 7 days end, the subscription automatically converts to the paid plan you selected before the trial began. GameChanger also states free trials are only available to first-time subscribers, so a second sign-up charges immediately.
I joined a Family Plan but my old subscription is still billing
They are separate subscriptions. GameChanger states that if you have an individual subscription it stays active unless you cancel it, and that any remaining time will not be prorated or transferred. Cancel the individual plan yourself in whichever channel sold it, because joining a family plan does not end it.
I cancelled a Family Plan and other members lost access
That is how the plan is built. GameChanger states the Family Plan lets you share a Premium subscription with up to three other family members and that the family organizer manages billing, and that only the family organizer who purchased the plan may make changes. Cancelling it removes Premium for everyone on it at the end of the paid period, so tell the others before you do it.
