Before you start.
- Work out where you signed up, because that decides the route. Paramount+ suggests signing in at paramountplus.com, clicking your name in the upper right and selecting Account, which shows where the subscription came from.
- Paramount+ states plainly that you will not be refunded for fees you have already paid, and that access runs to the end of the current billing period. Cancelling early does not buy back the rest of the month.
- Check whether you actually want the cheaper plan. Paramount+ lists Essential, ad supported, at $8.99 a month or $89.99 a year, and Premium, ad free, at $13.99 a month or $139.99 a year. Essential does not include your local live CBS station.
- Paramount+ notes that when a refund is issued, access ends immediately rather than running to the end of the period.
- If you are cancelling to take up the Walmart+ benefit, Paramount+ states you must cancel the existing subscription first and wait until the end of the billing cycle before the benefit applies.
FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel Paramount+, step by step.
Cancel on paramountplus.com
This is the route for people who signed up on the web, on a smart TV such as an LG, Vizio or Samsung set, or on an Xbox, PS4 or PS5. Paramount+ groups all of those together because they all bill through Paramount+ itself.
- Visit paramountplus.com and click on your username in the upper righthand corner.
- Click Account.
- Scroll down and click Cancel subscription.
- Work through the confirmation and keep the confirmation message.
Paramount+ states that if you want to cancel but cannot log in, you can open the Help Center homepage and use the blue chat bubble at the bottom of the screen to chat with an agent.
Cancel a Paramount+ subscription billed by Apple
Signing up inside the iPhone, iPad or Apple TV app puts the plan in Apple's hands. The Paramount+ account page will not cancel it.
- On iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Paramount+, tap Cancel Subscription, then tap Confirm.
- On Apple TV, 4th generation and later: open Settings, select Users & Accounts and then your account, select Subscriptions, choose Paramount+ and select Cancel Subscription.
- Paramount+ notes that if Cancel Subscription is not shown, the subscription is already cancelled and will not renew.
Paramount+ states that on Apple TV you can only edit subscriptions for apps installed on that Apple TV. It also notes that if the subscription is missing but you are still being charged, you either have the wrong Apple ID or you subscribed somewhere else entirely.
Cancel a Paramount+ subscription billed by Google Play
Signing up in the Android app, or on an Android TV, bills through Google Play.
- On a phone or computer, go to g.co/play/subscriptions.
- Select Paramount+.
- Select Cancel subscription.
- Follow the instructions.
Paramount+ states that uninstalling the app on an Android TV does not cancel the subscription, and that changing or cancelling needs a phone or a computer.
Cancel Paramount+ bought through Amazon
Amazon sells Paramount+ two different ways, and they cancel in different places. A Fire TV app subscription is an Appstore subscription; a Paramount+ channel added inside Prime Video is not.
- Fire TV app subscription: go to amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions and sign in, find the Paramount+ subscription, select Actions, then select Cancel your subscription.
- Prime Video Channel: open Manage Your Prime Video Channels in your Amazon account, find Paramount+ under your channels, and cancel the channel.
- Check that the cancellation shows in the Amazon account rather than assuming it worked.
A Paramount+ channel bought through Prime Video only plays inside Prime Video. If the Paramount+ app itself has never worked for you, that is the subscription you have.
Cancel a Paramount+ subscription billed by Roku
A Roku signup is billed by Roku, and the cancellation happens on the device or in the Roku account.
- Go to your Roku home screen.
- Choose the Paramount+ channel and press the star button on the Roku remote.
- Select Manage Subscription.
- Choose Cancel Subscription.
Paramount+ included with a Walmart+ membership
This is not a Paramount+ subscription in the usual sense. Paramount+ states that Walmart+ members get Paramount+ Essential at no additional cost for the duration of the Walmart+ membership, so there is no Paramount+ charge to stop.
- Check your statements. If nothing from Paramount+ appears on them, the benefit is coming through Walmart+ and there is nothing to cancel on the Paramount+ side.
- To end the benefit, end or let lapse the Walmart+ membership in your Walmart account.
- If you upgraded to Premium on top of the included Essential plan, that upgrade is billed separately. Paramount+ directs you to your Walmart account, then Walmart+, then find Paramount+ and select Manage Plan.
Paramount+ states the included plan is Essential, which is ad supported, and that the Premium upgrade costs an extra $5.49 a month.
What happens next?
- Paramount+ states that after cancelling you keep access until the end of the current billing period, and that you will not be refunded for fees already paid.
- Paramount+ states that if it does issue a refund, access to Paramount+ ends immediately rather than running out the period.
- Cancelling does not delete the account or its profiles. Paramount+ supports up to 6 individual profiles, and they survive a cancellation along with your watchlist.
- Showtime is no longer a separate app to cancel. Paramount+ states Showtime content is part of Paramount+ and that a standalone SHOWTIME app is not available.

There is no Cancel subscription option in my Paramount+ account
Paramount+ states that if you subscribed on another billing platform such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon or Roku, you have to return to that platform to cancel. The Paramount+ Account page shows only the plans Paramount+ bills. Check the merchant name on your statement: it names the company that actually has your money.
Paramount+ does not appear in my Apple subscriptions but Apple keeps charging me
Paramount+ gives the two causes for this. Either you are signed in with the wrong Apple ID, or you subscribed on a different device or at paramountplus.com and not through the App Store at all. Check every Apple ID in the household before assuming the subscription has vanished.
I cancelled but a Paramount+ charge appeared anyway
Compare the charge date against the date you cancelled. A renewal that had already processed still stands, and Paramount+ states it does not refund fees already paid. If the charge is dated after a confirmed cancellation, take the confirmation to whoever the merchant line names, which may be Apple, Google, Amazon or Roku rather than Paramount+.
I have Walmart+ but Paramount+ is still charging me separately
That means you had a Paramount+ subscription before the Walmart+ benefit, and the two are running side by side. Paramount+ states that an existing subscriber must cancel that subscription and wait until the end of the billing cycle before the Walmart+ benefit applies. Until then you are paying for something Walmart+ already gives you.
I want to downgrade instead of cancelling, but the app will not let me
Plan changes follow the same platform rule as cancellations. On the web, Paramount+ directs you to Account, then the Subscription & Billing section, then Edit Plan next to Paramount+ Plan, then Switch Plan. If the account was created on Apple, Google, Amazon or Roku, the plan options live there instead, and a Prime Video Channels subscription cannot change plan at all without cancelling first.

How do I cancel Paramount+?
