Do you qualify?
- Midjourney states the rule as: you are eligible for a refund only if you have used less than 20 GPU minutes throughout the lifetime of your account, including both Fast or Turbo and Relax time.
- The threshold is lifetime, so a long-standing account that barely used this month still does not qualify.
- Midjourney states that if you qualify you automatically see the option to request a refund when you cancel, and that if you do not see it, it is unable to provide a refund.
- Midjourney states that refund eligibility does not apply if your account is suspended or terminated for violating its Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Purchased extra Fast time is excluded outright. Midjourney states that once purchased, additional Fast time cannot be refunded, and that it expires after 60 days.
- Downgrading is not a refund route. Midjourney states that downgrading will not refund your current plan and that the change takes effect at the next renewal.

How to request a Midjourney refund.
Request it during cancellation
There is no separate refund form. Midjourney puts the offer inside the cancellation flow and shows it only to accounts that qualify.
- Open your Manage Subscription page at midjourney.com and check Usage Details for how much GPU time the account has used.
- Clear any scheduled plan change with the Cancel Change button first.
- Click Cancel Plan.
- Watch for the refund option in the prompts: Midjourney states it appears automatically if you qualify.
- Complete the request and wait for the confirmation email, which Midjourney states arrives within a few minutes.
Midjourney states that refund processing may take up to 10 business days, separately from the confirmation email.
A charge you believe is wrong
Separate from a change of mind. Midjourney documents how to tell a real duplicate charge from a pending authorisation before you raise it.
- Check your email for receipts: Midjourney states that if you did not get more than one email receipt, you were likely not charged more than once.
- Check whether the transaction is merely pending: Midjourney states that a declined payment often shows as a pending transaction and that this does not mean the payment succeeded.
- Check the billing email on the Stripe checkout, which Midjourney states may differ from the email you log in with.
- Contact Midjourney billing support with the invoice number, which Midjourney formats like ABC1DEF2-0001, or the receipt number, formatted like 1234-5678-9012.
What happens next?
- Midjourney states that you receive a refund confirmation email within a few minutes, and that processing the refund itself may take up to 10 business days.
- A refund goes with the cancellation, since the option only appears inside the cancellation flow. Expect the plan to end rather than continue.
- Your images are not affected. Midjourney states that cancelling does not delete generated images or account history and that you still own what you created.
- If the refund option never appeared, the remaining option is to use the rest of the period you paid for, since Midjourney states the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle with all features intact until then.

If you are refused.
There was no refund option when I cancelled
Midjourney states that this means it cannot provide a refund: the option is shown automatically to eligible accounts only. The test is under 20 GPU minutes across the account's lifetime, which almost any real use exceeds.
I want my purchased Fast hours refunded
Midjourney states plainly that once you have purchased additional Fast time it cannot be refunded. It also states those hours expire 60 days after purchase and need an active subscription, so they stop being usable if the plan lapses.
I think I was charged twice
Midjourney states that if you did not receive more than one email receipt you were likely not charged more than once, and that a declined payment often leaves a pending transaction in your bank account which does not mean the payment succeeded. Check the receipts before disputing.
I paid for Discord Nitro by mistake
That is not a Midjourney charge at all. Midjourney states that Discord's Subscriptions page only shows Nitro, and that someone who signed up for Nitro thinking it would let them use Midjourney might be able to get a refund from Discord. The request goes to Discord.
