Do you qualify?
- Photoroom states the request must come within 7 days of your last payment.
- Photoroom sets the window per plan as 7 days for a monthly or yearly plan and 4 days for a weekly plan.
- Photoroom states that eligibility requires an active Pro, Max or Ultra subscription.
- Photoroom states that refunds are not available for API users.
- Photoroom states that refunds are not guaranteed and may be declined in cases of misuse or violations of its terms and conditions.
- Photoroom states that if you paid from a different store account, it cannot refund for that period or transfer its value to a different account.
- Apple and Google apply their own policies to charges they collected, whatever Photoroom's window says, so a store request can succeed or fail on grounds Photoroom does not control.
ASK WHOEVER TOOK THE MONEY
How to request a Photoroom refund.
Request it from inside Photoroom
Photoroom routes App Store and Play Store refund requests through the same in-app path, which hands the request to the store that holds the money.
- Open Photoroom and go to the Space menu.
- Select Manage account, then Manage subscription. Photoroom states you can also use the Pro, Max or Ultra badge to reach this.
- Select Request a refund.
- Follow the request through to the store that charged you.
- Photoroom states App Store refunds usually complete within 30 days and Play Store refunds usually complete within 14 days.
Photoroom states that Apple and Google handle their own refunds and are subject to their own payment schedules, so the decision is theirs rather than Photoroom's.
Request a refund for a web subscription
A Stripe-billed subscription is Photoroom's own charge, so Photoroom decides this one rather than a store.
- Log in at app.photoroom.com.
- Open the Space menu, then Your profile, then Your billing.
- Find the subscription and select Request a Refund.
- Submit the request within the window: Photoroom states 7 days from your last payment, or 4 days on a weekly plan.
- Photoroom states Stripe refunds usually complete within 10 days.
Request a refund for a Shopify purchase
Photoroom handles this channel separately from the others and asks you to come through Shopify.
- Identify the charge as a Shopify one from your Shopify admin billing.
- Photoroom states that for a Shopify purchase you should contact it from the Shopify platform.
- Include the date, the amount and the Space the subscription belongs to.
- Submit it inside the same 7 day window Photoroom sets for its other channels.
What happens next?
- Photoroom states processing times by channel: App Store refunds usually complete within 30 days, Play Store refunds within 14 days, and Stripe refunds within 10 days.
- A refund does not by itself cancel the subscription. Cancel it on the platform that bills it, or the next renewal arrives regardless.
- Photoroom states that cancelling a free trial keeps access until the trial ends, so a trial cancelled in time never produces a charge to refund.
- A declined store request is the store's decision. Photoroom states Apple and Google handle their own refunds, so there is no appeal to Photoroom on a charge it did not take.
WHEN THE ANSWER IS NO
If you are refused.
I am outside the 7 days
Photoroom's own window has closed, and it sets that window at 7 days from the last payment, or 4 days on a weekly plan. The store that charged you may still consider a request under its own policy: Apple reviews requests without publishing a deadline, and Google's own window is short before the decision passes to the developer. Cancelling now still stops the next charge.
I was on a weekly plan and missed the window by a day
The weekly window is the shortest Photoroom publishes, at 4 days rather than 7, which is easy to miss because it is different from the monthly and yearly rule on the same page. Past it, the store route is what remains, and the more useful action is cancelling the weekly plan before it renews again in a few days.
Photoroom says it cannot refund an Apple charge
That matches what it publishes: Photoroom states it cannot access Apple orders and directs billing and refunds on those to Apple Support. Apple holds the money and decides. Use Apple's own refund request process rather than pressing Photoroom, which has no way to reverse the charge.
I used the API and my refund was refused
Photoroom states outright that refunds are not available for API users. That is a category exclusion rather than a judgement on the request, so there is no version of the request that qualifies.
