Before you start.
- Check what the next charge will actually be. BandLab states Pro annual is $99 a year in the first year and then $149 a year, and Max annual is $199 in the first year and then $299. The second year is the one that surprises people.
- Cancel with time in hand. BandLab recommends cancelling at least 24 hours before the next billing period rather than on the day.
- Check who bills you. BandLab sells through three channels: its website, where payments are processed by Paddle, the Apple App Store, and the Google Play Store. BandLab states it does not manage App Store or Play Store payments, so cancellations and refunds for those go through the stores.
- If the charge has already landed and you think it is wrong, move immediately. BandLab states a case-by-case refund request must be communicated within 48 hours of the charge, and that it must come from the original purchaser.
- Know what BandLab will not refund. It states there are no refunds for forgetting to cancel, loss of interest, underuse, rejected distributions or account suspension. The refundable cases it names are overcharges, double charges in one period, charges after cancellation and malfunctions.
- Check which tier you hold. BandLab has a free tier, BandLab Pro and BandLab Max, and a monthly Pro plan carries a 3-day free trial that renews at $14.99 a month.

Cancel in BandLab Membership Settings
This is the route for a membership bought on the BandLab website, where Paddle processes the payment. BandLab states it can be done on both web and mobile.
- Sign in to BandLab with the account the membership is on.
- Open Membership Settings.
- Select Change Plan.
- Select Cancel Subscription and complete the confirmation.
- Check Membership Settings afterwards to confirm no renewal is scheduled.
BandLab recommends cancelling at least 24 hours before the next billing period. If no membership appears here, the App Store or Google Play is billing you instead.
Cancel a BandLab membership billed by Apple
A membership bought inside the iOS app is an Apple purchase. BandLab states it does not manage App Store payments.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select the BandLab entry.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
A refund on an Apple charge is Apple's decision, not BandLab's, and BandLab's 48-hour refund window does not apply to it.
Cancel a BandLab membership billed by Google Play
A membership bought in the Android app is billed by Google Play, and cancellations and refunds go through Google.
- Open the Google Play Store app with the Google Account that bought the membership.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Select Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select BandLab.
- Tap Cancel subscription and complete the confirmation.
What happens next?
- BandLab states the membership stays active until the end of the current cycle and then reverts to the free tier.
- The free tier is not nothing: BandLab states it keeps the Sampler, Drum Machine, Looper and AutoPitch, along with a curated set of effects and instruments.
- The account itself remains, so your projects and profile are not closed by ending a membership.
- BandLab states payments are non-refundable except for service issues or billing errors, so cancelling stops future charges rather than returning the last one.
- A membership bought through a store keeps running until that store's cancellation takes effect, whatever BandLab's own settings show.

My annual renewal cost far more than the first year
That is BandLab's published pricing rather than an error. It states Pro annual is $99 a year in the first year and then $149 a year, and Max annual is $199 in the first year and then $299. The first year is an introductory rate. If the charge has just landed, BandLab's refund window is short: it states a case-by-case request must be communicated within 48 hours of the charge.
BandLab refused my refund
Check it against the list BandLab publishes. It states there are no refunds for forgetting to cancel, loss of interest, underuse, rejected distributions or account suspension. What it does refund are overcharges, double charges in one period, charges after cancellation and malfunctions. Forgetting to cancel is explicitly excluded, which is the most common reason people ask.
There is no membership in my BandLab settings
The App Store or Google Play is billing you. BandLab states it does not manage those payments, so the membership does not appear in its own settings and cannot be cancelled there. Check Settings, Subscriptions on your iPhone or the Google Play subscriptions list, using the account that made the purchase.
I was charged after cancelling
First check where you cancelled, because a BandLab-side cancellation does not stop a store subscription. If BandLab billed you through Paddle and the charge came after a completed cancellation, that is one of the cases BandLab names as refundable, and the 48-hour window from the charge is what matters. Contact support through its form with the receipt.
My 3-day trial converted before I noticed
The monthly Pro trial is short by design: BandLab states it is a 3-day free trial that automatically renews at $14.99 a month. Three days leaves very little margin, and BandLab separately recommends cancelling at least 24 hours before the next billing period, which effectively halves the trial. Forgetting to cancel is not a refundable case under BandLab's policy.
