- Log in to your Nord Account.
- Open the billing or subscription area of the dashboard.
- Cancel the auto-renewal for your NordVPN subscription.
- Check that the dashboard now shows an expiry date rather than a renewal date, and keep the confirmation.
Cancelling auto-renewal stops future charges but does not end the service immediately — you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Requesting a refund
NordVPN treats a refund as a separate request from cancelling, with its own window and conditions.
- Check whether you are within 30 days of the initial purchase — NordVPN says the guarantee covers an initial auto-renewal subscription bought directly from its official website.
- Look for a Refund button next to the payment in your Nord Account dashboard; NordVPN says eligible payments display one.
- If there is no button, contact NordVPN support through live chat or email within the window.
NordVPN says the guarantee applies to the initial purchase, and that a payment for a subscription that has already renewed is not eligible under this policy unless local law requires otherwise.
Bought through Apple, Google Play or a reseller
A NordVPN subscription bought inside a mobile app store is billed by that store, and NordVPN cannot cancel it for you.
- Check the receipt for the seller.
- For an Apple-billed plan, cancel in Apple Subscriptions; for a Google Play-billed plan, cancel in Google Play subscriptions.
- For a reseller or a bundle deal, cancel with whoever issued the purchase, and direct any refund request there as well.
Before you cancel.
- Check where you bought it. NordVPN’s own dashboard only controls subscriptions purchased directly from NordVPN; app-store and reseller purchases are managed elsewhere.
- Check whether you have separate Nord products — a Dedicated IP, NordPass or NordLocker are billed separately from NordVPN itself.
- If you might want a refund, act inside the window. NordVPN’s money-back guarantee is tied to the initial purchase date, not to when you cancel.

Does NordVPN keep my account after I cancel?
Your Nord Account stays open even after the subscription lapses, so you can re-subscribe without starting over. Deleting the account is a separate request.
