STREAMINGSubscription cancellation guide

How to cancel ReelShort subscription.

ReelShort VIP is almost always billed by Apple or Google, not by ReelShort, so the cancellation happens in your phone’s subscription settings. On iPhone: Settings, your Apple Account name, Subscriptions, ReelShort, Cancel Subscription. On Android: Play Store, profile icon, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, ReelShort, Cancel subscription. Deleting the app does not stop the billing.

Before you start.

  • Check the receipt before anything else. An email from Apple or Google means that store bills you and controls the cancellation; ReelShort support cannot stop it for you.
  • ReelShort VIP often renews weekly rather than monthly, so a missed renewal comes round again in days rather than at the end of a month.
  • If you subscribed as a guest without creating a username, the subscription is still tied to your Apple ID or Google account: that is where to look.
  • A purchase made on reelshort.com is billed by ReelShort, not by a store. Its terms require the cancellation request a day before the billing date, so leaving it until the day itself costs another period.

FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE

Cancel ReelShort, step by step.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

Apple bills the subscription, so it is cancelled from iOS Settings rather than inside ReelShort.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name (your Apple Account) at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select ReelShort from the list of active subscriptions.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

If ReelShort is not listed, you are signed in with a different Apple ID than the one that paid. Check the receipt email to see which account was charged.

Cancel on Android

Google Play bills the subscription, so it is cancelled from the Play Store app.

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right.
  3. Select Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  4. Select ReelShort.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts to confirm.

Google states that it cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf, the account holder has to complete this themselves.

Cancel a ReelShort-billed subscription

ReelShort sells directly too: its website carries a wallet, coin top-ups and VIP, and those purchases are billed by ReelShort rather than by a store. Its terms point to a Subscription Management page inside the app for these.

  1. Open the ReelShort app and tap Profile in the bottom right.
  2. Tap the VIP membership banner.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of that page and look for Subscription Management or an unsubscribe option.
  4. Cancel at least a day before the billing date: ReelShort states that a request made on the billing date itself is charged through to the next one.
  5. Follow the prompts and keep any confirmation you are shown.

ReelShort states cancellation takes effect immediately and no future billing period is charged. If Apple or Google took the payment, the store route above is the one that stops the charge.

What happens next?

  • Cancelling stops the renewal. Apple and Google both leave the subscription active until the end of the period you already paid for, so VIP access usually continues for the rest of that week or month.
  • Coins and unlocked episodes are separate from the VIP subscription. Cancelling does not remove what you have already bought, and it does not refund it.
  • Refunds are requested from whoever billed you, Apple, Google or ReelShort, and each of them can decline. There is no automatic refund for an unused period.
  • ReelShort’s own terms state that payments made to Crazy Maple Studio for subscriptions are final and non-refundable except where the terms say otherwise, so a direct purchase is the hardest of the three to get back.

WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK

If you get stuck.

ReelShort is not in my subscriptions list

The list only shows subscriptions bought with the account you are signed in to. Find the receipt email and check which Apple ID or Google account was charged, then sign in with that one. A subscription bought on an iPhone will not appear in Google Play, and the reverse is also true.

I deleted the app and it still charges me

Removing an app never cancels its subscription. Apple and Google keep billing until the subscription itself is cancelled in the store settings, so reinstalling is not needed: go straight to Subscriptions on your device.

I subscribed as a guest and have no account

A guest purchase still runs through the Apple ID or Google account signed in on the device at the time. You do not need a ReelShort username to cancel; use the store route for whichever device you paid on.

I cancelled but I was charged again

Check whether the cancellation completed, the store shows an expiry date once it has. Also check for a second subscription: ReelShort sells weekly and longer VIP plans, and it is possible to hold more than one at a time on different accounts.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

How do I cancel my ReelShort subscription?

Cancel it wherever it is billed. On iPhone: Settings, your Apple Account name, Subscriptions, ReelShort, Cancel Subscription. On Android: Play Store, profile icon, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, ReelShort, Cancel subscription. If ReelShort billed you directly, use the VIP page inside the app.

Does deleting the ReelShort app cancel the subscription?

No. Deleting an app removes it from the device but leaves the subscription running, and the store keeps charging until you cancel it in your subscription settings.

How do I cancel ReelShort as a guest?

A guest subscription is still attached to the Apple ID or Google account that made the purchase. Open Subscriptions on that device and cancel it there: no ReelShort login is required.

Can I get a refund from ReelShort?

Refunds come from whoever took the payment. Apple and Google each run their own refund request process and can decline; ReelShort handles refunds only for purchases it billed directly. Cancelling and requesting a refund are separate actions.

I bought coins or VIP on the ReelShort website: how do I cancel?

A website purchase is billed by ReelShort rather than by Apple or Google, so it is cancelled from the VIP page inside the app under Subscription Management. ReelShort’s terms require the request to be submitted on or before the day prior to the billing date; a request made on the billing date is charged through to the next period.

Why is ReelShort charging me weekly?

ReelShort sells VIP as a recurring plan that commonly renews weekly. The renewal period is shown in your store subscription settings next to the price.

What happens to my coins and unlocked episodes?

They are separate purchases and are not part of the VIP subscription. Cancelling VIP does not remove or refund coins you already bought.
