Before you start.
- Download the documents you want to keep. pdfFiller states you keep access while the subscription is active and have one month after cancelling to download files before they become unavailable.

- Check who took the payment. The pdfFiller iPhone app sells its plans as App Store subscriptions, so a plan bought there is billed by Apple rather than pdfFiller.
- Do not delete the account first. Deleting it removes all documents immediately, and pdfFiller's own deletion steps start by cancelling the subscription.

Cancel in your pdfFiller account
This is the route pdfFiller documents for a subscription or trial started on its website.
- Sign in to pdfFiller and click your profile icon.
- Go to My Account.
- Open the Subscription & payment tab.
- Click Cancel subscription and complete any confirmation screens.
- Keep any confirmation email, or a screenshot of the cancelled status, as proof.
pdfFiller's help suggests switching to a cheaper plan before unsubscribing. Switching plans keeps a paid subscription running; only Cancel subscription ends the renewal.
Cancel an Apple-billed pdfFiller plan
The pdfFiller iPhone and iPad app sells Basic, Plus and Premium plans as App Store subscriptions. If Apple sent the receipt, Apple controls the renewal.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap pdfFiller.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
Apple advises cancelling a trial at least 24 hours before it ends. If pdfFiller is not listed, check which Apple Account is on the receipt.
Cancel a Google Play-billed pdfFiller plan
The pdfFiller Android app offers in-app purchases. A Google Play receipt means Google holds the billing.
- Open your subscriptions in Google Play on your Android device.
- Select the pdfFiller subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
- Follow the instructions to confirm.
Google states that uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
Cancel through pdfFiller support
pdfFiller's terms also accept cancellation by contacting support, but only once you receive written confirmation of the request.
- Open the Contact support form at the bottom of pdfFiller's FAQ page.
- Enter your account's email address, choose a question category and ask for the subscription to be cancelled.
- Wait for written confirmation and keep it. Without it, pdfFiller's terms do not treat the request as received.
What happens next?
- You keep access to your documents while the subscription is active, then have one month to download them before they become unavailable.
- pdfFiller's terms state fees are non-refundable and that any prepaid, unused services expire at the end of the subscription period.
- Cancelling does not delete the account. To delete it, cancel first, then press Delete account in Settings: that removes all documents immediately and cannot be undone.
- A plan billed by Apple or Google is refunded, if at all, by that store under its own rules.

My pdfFiller free trial turned into a charge
pdfFiller's terms count starting a trial as accepting the subscription agreement, which renews automatically for the same period until cancelled. Cancel now from My Account, Subscription & payment to stop the next renewal. The terms state fees are non-refundable unless pdfFiller agrees otherwise, so ask support directly if you want the trial charge reviewed.
I cancelled but pdfFiller charged me again
Check the Subscription & payment tab in My Account to see whether the subscription is still active, and check the App Store and Google Play for a separate store subscription. If you cancelled through support, check you received written confirmation, since pdfFiller's terms require it.
I cannot delete my pdfFiller account
