AI TOOLSSubscription cancellation guide

How to cancel Suno subscription.

If Suno billed you directly, go to suno.com/account and choose Cancel Subscription at the top of the page, then confirm. If you subscribed in the iOS or Android app, cancel in that store instead: Suno states it can typically only modify subscriptions made through its own payment processor and may not be able to assist with App Store or Google Play purchases. Download what you want to keep before the plan ends. Suno states that songs downloaded while subscribed carry commercial use rights, and that once your membership reverts to the Basic tier, any new songs are not eligible for commercial use.

Before you start.

  • Download the songs you care about first. Suno states that downloads are limited per plan and per month, and that free accounts get a small lifetime total of trial downloads for personal, non-commercial use only.
  • Understand what you keep. Suno states that songs downloaded while subscribed are granted commercial use rights and that you can monetise them without Suno claiming a stake, and separately that once your membership reverts to the Basic tier, new songs are not eligible for commercial use.
  • Do not wait for credits to accumulate. Suno states plainly that paid subscriptions still have expiring credits, and that whether you use 10 credits or all of them, the next billing cycle starts with the same allowance.
  • Check who billed you. Suno states that mobile subscriptions paid via the App Store or Google Play should be cancelled directly through those third party services.
  • Cancel while you can still see the billing controls. Suno states that the payment area is only visible while you are actively subscribed, so an ex-subscriber needs an emailed login link that remains active for 30 minutes.

FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE

Cancel Suno, step by step.

Cancel a subscription billed by Suno

This is the route for a plan bought on the website, which Suno bills through its own payment processor.

  1. Visit suno.com/account and sign in with the account that holds the subscription.
  2. Choose Cancel Subscription at the top of the page.
  3. Confirm the change before moving forward: Suno states you need to confirm it.
  4. As an alternative from the same page, choose Update Payment to cancel the subscription directly within Stripe.
  5. Keep the confirmation, and download anything you still want under the paid download allowance before the period ends.

Suno states that after cancelling you can continue using the service through the end of the billing cycle, and that the account reverts to the Basic plan on completion.

Cancel a subscription bought in the iOS app

Apple holds the billing for an App Store purchase, and Suno states it may not be able to assist with those.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name to locate your Apple Account.
  2. In the middle of the page, tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Suno, then locate Cancel Subscription.
  4. Confirm the cancellation and check that the subscription shows an expiry date.

Suno states that it can typically only modify subscriptions made through its own payment processor, so its support team cannot stop an Apple charge for you.

Cancel a subscription bought in the Android app

Google Play bills an Android in-app purchase, and the Suno account page will not show it.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap Google, then your name, then Manage your Google Account.
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions.
  3. Tap Manage subscriptions.
  4. Tap Suno, then locate Cancel Subscription and confirm.
  5. You can reach the same list from the Play Store app under your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

What happens next?

  • The plan runs to the end of the cycle. Suno states you can continue using the service through the end of the billing cycle, and that the account reverts to the Basic plan on completion.
  • Your library survives. Suno states that every song in your library stays fully playable and shareable through links on Suno on every plan including free, and that the limits only apply to downloading files off the platform.
  • Commercial rights split by date. Suno states that songs downloaded while subscribed keep commercial use rights, and that once your membership reverts to Basic, any new songs are not eligible for commercial use.
  • Credits do not bank. Suno states that paid subscriptions have expiring credits and that each cycle starts from the plan's allowance regardless of what went unused, and that running out mid-cycle drops you to the same daily free allotment until the cycle ends.
  • Commercial rights are not copyright. Suno states that granting commercial use rights does not guarantee copyright protection, which is decided by your country's copyright office rather than by Suno.

WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK

If you get stuck.

Suno support says it cannot cancel my subscription

That means a store took the payment. Suno states that it can typically only modify subscriptions made through its own payment processor and may not be able to assist with purchases from the Google Play Store or App Store. Cancel in the store that issued the receipt.

I cannot find the billing page now that I have cancelled

Suno states that the payment area is only visible while you are actively subscribed. For an ex-subscriber it directs you to request an emailed login link to reach billing information, and states that the link only remains active for 30 minutes, so open it promptly.

My credits reset even though I did not use them

That is the design. Suno states that paid subscriptions still have expiring credits, and that whether you use 10 credits or the whole allowance, the next billing cycle starts with the plan's full amount again. The one exception it names is credits issued to make up for significant downtime, which it states do carry over.

I bought a yearly plan by mistake

Suno names this as a case it helps with: it states that if you paid for a yearly subscription instead of a month, it can help revert the payment to a monthly plan, and that this would include a partial refund. Raise it quickly rather than waiting.

My new songs lost their commercial rights

That follows from the tier rather than a fault. Suno states that songs made with the free daily credits still carry commercial use rights as long as you are still subscribed, and that once the membership reverts to Basic, any new songs are not eligible for commercial use. Songs downloaded while subscribed keep the rights they had.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

How do I cancel my Suno subscription?

For a subscription billed by Suno, go to suno.com/account, choose Cancel Subscription at the top of the page, and confirm. For an app purchase, cancel in the App Store or Google Play, because Suno states it may not be able to assist with those.

Do I keep the songs I made on a paid Suno plan?

Yes. Suno states that every song in your library stays playable and shareable on every plan including free, and that downloaded songs made while subscribed keep their commercial use rights. New songs made after reverting to Basic are not eligible for commercial use.

Do unused Suno credits carry over?

No. Suno states that paid subscriptions still have expiring credits and that each new billing cycle starts with the plan's allowance no matter how much went unused.

Can I get a refund from Suno?

Suno states that payments are final and non-refundable unless it determines otherwise, and names cases it does help with, such as a yearly plan bought by mistake or an unattended signup with no songs in the account. It states it cannot refund months you simply did not use.

What happens to downloads after I cancel?

The allowance drops with the plan. Suno describes downloads as capped per month on paid plans and as a small lifetime total of trial downloads for personal, non-commercial use on the free plan, so export what you want before the period ends.
