In this guide
Before you start.
- Find your renewal date first. ClassPass memberships renew each month on your cycle date, which is shown in your Account Settings, and ClassPass recommends cancelling 48 hours before it so the request is fully processed.
- Use or accept losing your credits. ClassPass says that once an account is cancelled you no longer have access to unused credits, including rollover credits, and that remaining credits are forfeited on the last day of your billing cycle.
- If you are on a trial, timing works differently. ClassPass says trial cancellations are immediate and cancel your remaining trial credits and every scheduled class, so it suggests waiting until the last day of the trial if you still want to use it.
- Think about pausing if the break is temporary. ClassPass may grant a pause on request, during which you are not charged and your credits are frozen, but it is granted case by case through chat rather than from a button.
- Check whether your employer pays. A corporate ClassPass plan is tied to your company's eligibility list, so questions about it go to your HR, benefits team or program administrator as well as ClassPass.
How to find all your subscriptions How to cancel a membership
FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel ClassPass, step by step.
Cancel on the ClassPass website
ClassPass bills you directly by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, so cancelling happens inside your ClassPass account rather than in a phone's subscription settings.
- Sign in at classpass.com.
- Click your initial on the right-hand side of the page and select Account from the drop-down.
- Open the Settings page from the menu on the left side of the page.
- Click the red Cancel your membership link.
- Follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation request, then wait for the cancellation confirmation email from ClassPass.
ClassPass states that if you do not receive a cancellation confirmation email, your request was not received. Do not treat the membership as cancelled until that email arrives.
Cancel in the ClassPass app
The same cancellation is available in the iPhone and Android app. It still ends a membership ClassPass bills, not an App Store or Google Play subscription.
- Open the ClassPass app and tap Profile at the bottom right of the screen.
- Select Settings.
- Under Billing, select the Cancel my membership link.
- Follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation request.
- Check your inbox for the cancellation confirmation email.
If the request will not go through in the app, use the website route or contact ClassPass through chat, which is the support channel its help pages point to.
What happens next?
- There is no fee to cancel a ClassPass membership, according to ClassPass.
- ClassPass says it does not refund months of membership or extra credit purchases such as top-up credits and add-on packs, and that it cannot make changes to an account retroactively.
- All remaining credits, including rolled over and purchased ones, are forfeited on the last day of your billing cycle once you cancel.
- Reservations you booked still carry ClassPass's late cancel and missed reservation fees, so cancel any upcoming bookings you will not attend.
- Cancelling the membership does not delete your account data. ClassPass handles personal data deletion as a separate request through its help center, and says deletion is permanent once actioned.
Cancelling a ClassPass free trial.
How do I cancel a ClassPass free trial?
Use the same Cancel your membership or Cancel my membership link. ClassPass says trials renew into the monthly plan shown at sign-up if you do not cancel, and that a trial cancellation is immediate, so cancel on the last day of the trial if you want to keep using it.
Pausing or freezing ClassPass.
Can I pause my ClassPass membership instead of cancelling?
Possibly. ClassPass says it may grant a temporary pause if you reach out with the reason. During a granted pause you are not charged and your credits are frozen. You can also move to a lower-credit plan, which ClassPass applies from your next billing cycle.
WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK
If you get stuck.
I cancelled but never got a confirmation email
ClassPass states plainly that if you do not receive a cancellation confirmation email, your request was not received. Check spam first, then go back through the cancellation flow on the website, where you click your initial, choose Account, then Settings, and the red Cancel your membership link. If it still does not confirm, contact ClassPass through chat before your renewal date and keep a record of the conversation.
I was charged even though I cancelled the day before renewal
ClassPass recommends submitting a cancellation 48 hours before your renewal date so it is fully processed, and says it does not refund months of membership. A request made inside that window can miss the cycle. Check your renewal date in Account Settings and contact ClassPass through chat if you believe the request was received in time.
My trial cancellation wiped my credits and bookings
That is how ClassPass describes trial cancellations: they take effect immediately and cancel remaining trial credits and all scheduled classes. ClassPass advises waiting until the last day of the trial to cancel if you want to keep using it. The Early Access trial is the exception: ClassPass says it stays active until the end of the scheduled trial cycle after you cancel.
ClassPass is not in my iPhone or Google Play subscriptions
That is expected. ClassPass lists cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay as its payment methods, and a membership paid that way is billed by ClassPass, not by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it inside your ClassPass account on the website or in the app.
My membership was paused and I want to cancel instead
ClassPass's unpause steps run through Account Settings and the blue Manage plan button. There, the See other plans or cancel membership button leads to the cancellation steps. Be careful not to tap Resume membership by mistake: ClassPass says resuming charges the membership fee immediately and moves your billing date to that day.
