Before you start.
- Check whether your 12-month commitment is complete. Tonal says memberships include an initial 12-month commitment period and that you can cancel after it has been fulfilled. If you are unsure of your status, Tonal suggests contacting Customer Care.
- Know that pauses extend the commitment. Tonal's terms say a pause or a disruption in payments during the initial commitment extends it by the length of the pause or disruption.
- Pick the right moment. Tonal's terms ask you to cancel at least 24 hours, and no more than 30 days, before your renewal date.
- Save anything you want to keep. Tonal's terms say that once a membership expires or is cancelled, you may lose access to data and content associated with it, including historical data, usage records and custom workouts.

FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel Tonal, step by step.
Cancel on your Tonal trainer
Tonal calls cancelling on the trainer the easiest and fastest way. It is the route Tonal documents in its help center and its terms.
- On your Tonal, tap Profile & Account.
- Select Your Account.
- Go to Membership Management.
- Tap Cancel Membership and follow the prompts through to the end.
If Cancel Membership is not available, your 12-month commitment may not be complete yet. Contact Tonal Customer Care to check your commitment status.
Cancel through Tonal Customer Care
Tonal's terms say you can also contact Customer Care to cancel, at least 24 hours and no more than 30 days before your desired last day. Tonal also uses this route when you are cancelling before selling your trainer.
- Contact Tonal Customer Care through the contact options on Tonal's website or help center.
- Say that you want to cancel your membership and give the email on your Tonal account.
- Confirm the last day of your membership and that your commitment has been fulfilled.
- Ask for written confirmation of the cancellation.
What happens next?
- Your membership continues to the end of the current billing cycle. Tonal's example: cancel in the middle of a monthly cycle and the membership runs until that cycle ends.
- Membership fees already paid are final and non-refundable under Tonal's terms.
- Without a membership, Tonal says you keep basic lifting with the ability to increase or decrease the weight, and lose guided programs, personalized weight recommendations, progress tracking, Dynamic Weight Modes, on-demand classes, multiple user profiles, the Custom Workout Builder and more.
- Tonal's terms say basic use without a membership still requires a continuous Wi-Fi connection.
Pausing or freezing Tonal.
Can I pause my Tonal membership instead of cancelling?
Tonal says you may be eligible to temporarily pause your subscription if you are travelling, moving or taking time off, and resume later without losing progress. Submit the Membership Pause Request Form in Tonal's help center. A pause during the initial commitment extends that commitment by the length of the pause.
WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK
If you get stuck.
I cannot find a way to cancel on my Tonal
Tonal says you can cancel after your commitment period has been fulfilled. If you are still inside the initial 12-month commitment, or a pause or missed payment has extended it, cancellation is not yet available. Contact Tonal Customer Care to check your commitment status.
I cancelled and was charged for another month
Tonal's terms ask you to cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. A cancellation made later than that can mean one more renewal. Paid membership fees are non-refundable under the terms, so check your cancellation date against your renewal date.
I want to delete my account instead
Tonal says deleting your account from the Tonal app means it has to cancel your membership too, and account deletion requests can only be processed once you have completed the initial 12-month membership commitment. In the app, tap your profile icon, choose Help, select Delete Account and tap Request Account Deletion. A team member then contacts you about next steps.

Can I still use Tonal without a membership?
Yes, in a limited way. Tonal says the trainer keeps basic lifting with the ability to increase or decrease the weight, while membership features such as guided programs and progress tracking stop.
