- Check who billed you before hunting for a cancel button. A receipt from Apple means Apple controls the cancellation, and a charge from eMeals means you cancel on the website.
- Find the renewal date and note how long the next term is. eMeals sells multi-month and annual plans, so the renewal is usually a larger single charge rather than a small monthly one.
- Cancel before the renewal rather than after it. Once an annual term has started, the ordinary outcome is that it runs to its end date.
- Your meal plans and shopping lists live behind the subscription, so save any plan you want to keep cooking from before access ends.
- The grocery delivery you place through partners such as Walmart, Kroger or Instacart is a separate arrangement, and cancelling eMeals does not touch those accounts or orders.

Cancel on the eMeals website
This is the route for a subscription bought on emeals.com, which is billed by eMeals directly.
- Sign in at emeals.com with the email address on the subscription.
- Open your account and go to the subscriptions section.
- Find your active meal plan subscription and select the option to cancel it.
- Work through any retention offer to a final confirmation.
- Check that the page no longer shows an upcoming renewal, and keep the confirmation email.
If the subscriptions page shows no plan to cancel, the subscription is almost certainly billed by Apple instead. Check the receipt.
Cancel a subscription billed by Apple
eMeals sells its plans as in-app purchases on iPhone and iPad. When you subscribe that way Apple is the biller, and the cancellation happens in iOS Settings rather than on the eMeals website.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name (your Apple Account) at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select eMeals from the list of active subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If eMeals is not listed, you are signed in with a different Apple ID than the one that paid. The receipt email shows which account was charged.
Cancel through eMeals support
Use this when the account page will not complete the cancellation, or when you cannot tell which channel billed you.
- Contact eMeals customer support through the help or contact options on its website.
- Give the email address on the account and ask for the subscription to be cancelled.
- Ask which channel billed you if you are unsure, since eMeals cannot cancel an Apple-billed subscription for you.
- Ask for written confirmation of the cancellation and the date access ends.
What happens next?
- Access normally continues to the end of the term you have already paid for rather than stopping on the day you cancel.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. On an annual plan that is the difference between one more year and none, which is why the renewal date matters more here than on a monthly service.
- Meal plans, recipes and shopping lists are subscriber features, so they stop being available when the term ends. Save what you want to keep first.
- A subscription billed by Apple is refunded by Apple under its own policy, and eMeals does not control those decisions.
- Cancelling eMeals does not cancel anything at the grocery retailers it connects to. Those accounts and any pending orders continue separately.

There is no cancel option in my eMeals account
This is the usual sign that Apple bills the subscription rather than eMeals. A plan bought as an in-app purchase on an iPhone or iPad only appears in Settings, Subscriptions on that device, and the eMeals website has nothing to cancel. Check which company sent the receipt.
I cancelled in the app and eMeals still charged me
Check whether you actually cancelled the subscription or only deleted the app. Removing an app never stops billing. Also check for two subscriptions: it is possible to have subscribed once on the website and once through Apple, and each has to be cancelled where it is billed.
I was charged for a full year and did not expect it
eMeals sells plans in multi-month and annual terms, so the renewal arrives as one larger charge at the end of the term rather than monthly. Once the new term has started the normal outcome is that it runs to its end date, so the practical step is to cancel now to stop the term after it.
I cannot sign in to the account being charged
Start with password recovery on the exact address the receipts arrive at, since a second account under a different email is the common cause. If the receipt is from Apple, you do not need the eMeals login at all: the cancellation happens in your Apple subscription settings.
I cancelled but I can still open my meal plans
That is expected while the paid term runs. A cancellation stops the renewal rather than ending access immediately, so the plans stay available until the end date shown on your subscription.

Apple advises cancelling at least 24 hours before the trial ends to prevent renewal. Check the confirmation for your access end date. Add the trial deadline to Subex and set a reminder so you can review it in time.
