Before you start.
- Work out where the membership comes from before looking for a cancel button. A Grubhub+ that arrived with Amazon Prime is managed through the Amazon account link, while a plan you pay Grubhub for is managed in Grubhub's own subscription settings.
- Check the receipt or your card statement. A charge from Grubhub points to a direct plan, and no charge at all usually points to a Prime or other partner benefit.
- Check the renewal date in the subscription section and leave time before it, since a cancellation completed after a renewal does not undo that charge.
- If Grubhub+ came through a student offer, an employer's Grubhub Corporate account or a card benefit, expect it to be managed by that provider rather than by you.

Cancel a Grubhub+ plan you pay for
This is the route for a membership billed by Grubhub itself. The subscription page also shows the renewal date, so you can confirm the timing while cancelling.
- Sign in at grubhub.com with the account being charged.
- Open your account settings and go to the subscription section at grubhub.com/account/subscription.
- Find the Grubhub+ membership and choose the option to cancel or end it.
- Work through any retention offer to the final confirmation.
- Check the page afterwards: a cancelled membership should show an end date rather than a renewal date.
A membership that is still listed with a renewal date has not been cancelled, whatever the earlier screens suggested.
Cancel Grubhub+ that came with Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime has included Grubhub+ as a benefit, and that version is granted by the account link rather than sold by Grubhub. Looking for it in Grubhub's own settings is the usual dead end.
- Sign in to Amazon and open Your Account.
- Open Manage apps & services with data access.
- Find the Grubhub entry in the list of linked services.
- Unlink Grubhub from your Amazon account.
- Check your Grubhub account afterwards to confirm the membership is no longer showing as active.
Unlinking removes the benefit. It does not cancel Amazon Prime itself, which is a separate subscription with its own billing.
Cancel through Grubhub support
Grubhub publishes a contact route specifically for cancelling a membership, which is the fallback when the account page will not complete the cancellation.
- Open the Grubhub help centre and use the contact option about cancelling a membership.
- Say which email address the account uses and that you want the Grubhub+ membership ended.
- Say whether the membership came from Amazon Prime or another partner, since that changes who can end it.
- Ask for written confirmation and keep it.
What happens next?
- A cancelled membership normally continues to the end of the period already paid for, so the benefits do not usually stop on the day you cancel.
- Cancelling the membership does not cancel an order you have already placed. An order in progress is handled in the order itself, and a cancellation after a restaurant has begun preparing it may not be possible.
- Cancelling Grubhub+ does not delete your Grubhub account. Account deletion is a separate request through Grubhub's privacy pages.
- Unlinking Grubhub from Amazon removes the Grubhub+ benefit but leaves both accounts open, including Amazon Prime.

There is no cancel option on my Grubhub+ membership
This is the classic sign that Grubhub is not the seller. A Grubhub+ provided through Amazon Prime, a student offer, a card benefit or an employer's corporate account is granted by that provider, and Grubhub's own settings have nothing to cancel. Go to the provider and remove the benefit or the account link there.
I cancelled in the app but I am still being charged
Check the subscription section on the website rather than trusting the app screen: a membership that still shows a renewal date was never cancelled. Also check which account the charge belongs to, since an order placed as a guest or on a second email address can leave a membership on an account you are not signed into.
My free Grubhub+ from Amazon started charging me
A promotional or Prime-linked Grubhub+ can convert to a paid membership when the offer period ends. Once it is charging you directly, cancelling means both ending the paid plan in Grubhub's subscription settings and, if you do not want it to return, unlinking the accounts at Amazon.
I cancelled the membership and my order still arrived
Membership and orders are separate. Ending Grubhub+ removes the delivery fee benefits but does not touch an order that is already placed, and Grubhub applies its own rules to cancelling an order once the restaurant has started it.
I cannot sign in to the account that holds the membership
Cancelling needs access to that account, so start with password recovery on the exact email address the receipts go to. If the account is genuinely unreachable, use Grubhub's contact route for cancelling a membership and give the charge details from your statement.
