FOOD & DELIVERYSubscription cancellation guide

How to cancel Factor meals subscription.

To cancel a Factor meals subscription, log in to Factor, open Plan Settings, scroll to the Status section and click Deactivate My Plan, then choose Cancel Anyway, give a reason and click Deactivate Now. One deadline decides whether you pay: Factor states the cutoff is 11:59 pm, five days before your delivery. After that the week's order is already processed, so the cancellation applies from the following week instead.

Before you start.

  • Work out your cutoff first. Factor states you can skip, pause or cancel up to 11:59 pm five days before a delivery. Its own pages differ on the time zone, giving 11:59 pm CT in some places and 11:59 pm PST in others, so treat the earlier of the two as your deadline and check the date shown in your own account.
  • Count back five days from the next delivery date, not from today. A cancellation inside that window still goes through, but the box already in progress is charged and sent.
  • Decide whether you want to skip or deactivate. Skipping stops individual weeks and keeps the plan, while deactivating ends it.
  • Expect a retention offer. The cancel flow interrupts with an alternative before Cancel Anyway, and stopping there leaves the plan running.
  • Factor charges the card on your account rather than billing through Apple or Google, so the plan will not appear in your phone's subscription settings even though Factor has an app.

FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE

Cancel Factor, step by step.

Cancel on the Factor website

This is the route Factor documents. The wording is deactivation rather than cancellation, which is why the option can be hard to spot.

  1. Log in to your Factor account in a browser.
  2. Open the Plan Settings page.
  3. Scroll to the Status section and click Deactivate My Plan.
  4. Choose one of the offered options, or click Cancel Anyway if you are sure.
  5. Select your reason for cancelling and click Deactivate Now.
  6. Check that the plan shows as deactivated, and keep the confirmation email.

Factor states there are no cancellation fees or penalties. The cost of cancelling late is the box inside the five-day window, not a fee.

Skip weeks instead of cancelling

If you want a break rather than an exit, skipping avoids the charge while keeping your plan and pricing. Factor presents this as the flexible alternative to deactivating.

  1. Log in to your Factor account and open your delivery schedule.
  2. Select the weeks you want to skip.
  3. Confirm each one before its own cutoff of 11:59 pm, five days before that delivery.
  4. Check the schedule afterwards: a week that still shows a delivery has not been skipped.

Each week has its own deadline. Skipping several weeks means meeting several cutoffs, not one.

Cancel through Factor support

Use this when the Plan Settings route will not complete, or when the cutoff is close and you want the request timestamped.

  1. Open the contact options on the Factor website and start a chat, or use the phone line listed there.
  2. Ask for the plan to be deactivated, and say which upcoming delivery you want stopped.
  3. Ask whether that delivery is already past its cutoff, so you know whether a box is still coming.
  4. Ask for written confirmation and keep it.

What happens next?

  • Deliveries stop from the first week that falls outside the five-day cutoff. A box already inside that window is charged and sent, and deactivating does not recall it.
  • Deactivating is reversible. Factor documents a reactivation route, so the account and address survive the cancellation.
  • The plan can be deactivated without the account being deleted. If you want the data removed as well, that is a separate request.
  • Promotional pricing usually does not survive a break. A reactivated plan is generally priced at the current rate rather than the discount that brought you in.

Pausing or freezing Factor.

Can I pause Factor instead of cancelling?

Yes. Factor supports skipping a week or several, and pausing, from your account settings. The same five-day cutoff applies to each week you skip, and deliveries restart when the pause ends.

WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK

If you get stuck.

I cancelled but a box still arrived and was charged

Compare the date you cancelled with the delivery date. Factor's cutoff is 11:59 pm, five days before delivery, and an order inside that window has already been processed. In that case the cancellation takes effect from the following week, which is the documented behaviour rather than a fault.

Factor's pages say CT in one place and PST in another

They do, and that is a real inconsistency in Factor's own published help. The five-day part is consistent everywhere. Because Central Time runs ahead of Pacific, treating the deadline as 11:59 pm CT is the safer reading, and the definitive answer is the changeable-until date shown against the order in your account.

I cannot find a cancel button anywhere

Factor labels it Deactivate My Plan rather than Cancel, and it sits in the Status section at the bottom of Plan Settings. If you searched the page for the word cancel, the only match is the Cancel Anyway button that appears after you start the flow.

I clicked Deactivate My Plan but the plan is still active

The flow has several steps after that button: an offer screen, then Cancel Anyway, then a reason, then Deactivate Now. Leaving at the offer screen leaves the plan running. The plan is only cancelled once the status shows as deactivated.

I paused and the deliveries restarted on their own

A pause or a set of skipped weeks always has an end date, and deliveries resume automatically when it passes. If you did not intend to come back, deactivate the plan instead of skipping further weeks.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

How do I cancel my Factor subscription?

Log in, open Plan Settings, scroll to Status and click Deactivate My Plan. Then choose Cancel Anyway, select a reason and click Deactivate Now. Do it before the cutoff for your next delivery.

What is the Factor cancellation deadline?

Factor states that skipping, pausing or cancelling has to be done by 11:59 pm, five days before your delivery. Its pages give the time zone as CT in some places and PST in others, so the safest reading is the earlier one, and your account shows the exact date for each order.

Does Factor charge a cancellation fee?

Factor states there are no cancellation fees or penalties. What a late cancellation costs is the box already inside the five-day window, which is charged and delivered.
