Before you start.
- Find out who sold it to you, because Wondershare has four channels. It states that purchases made through the Apple App Store, Google Play, resellers or other third-party platforms must be refunded through the original seller or platform, which means the cancellation belongs there too.
- Work out the cost of leaving early on an annual plan. Wondershare states that after 30 days you are charged a lump sum of 50% of your remaining contract obligation, and that once you cancel your service continues until the end of your contracted term.
- Note the tension in Wondershare's own wording: it states the subscription renews until you cancel anytime, while also setting out that 50% charge for cancelling an annual contract partway through. Both come from Wondershare, and the second is the one that costs money.
- Cancel at least a day early. Wondershare states that for paid trial and subscription products you should cancel at least 24 hours before the current trial or billing period ends to avoid being charged for the next term.
- A renewal is the hardest charge to undo. Wondershare states that an order is not refundable where it is a renewal order and the subscription was not cancelled before the renewal charge. That makes cancelling before the renewal the only reliable saving.
- Deal with credits before you go. Wondershare states that usage-based benefits such as credits, points, hours or characters that have already been consumed are not refundable, and Filmora sells separate AI credit packs.
- Expect the watermark back. Wondershare describes a Filmora Pro subscription as giving access to all features and paid editing materials including stickers and filter packages, and states that the watermark and Logo Roll are removed automatically with it.
- Filmora Cloud is a separate paid add-on rather than part of the editor subscription, so anything stored there needs downloading before it lapses.
FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel Filmora, step by step.
Cancel in the Wondershare Account Center
This is the route for a subscription bought from Wondershare's own store, which it bills directly. Wondershare points cancellations at its Account Center.
- Sign in at accounts.wondershare.com with the Wondershare ID that holds the subscription.
- Open the subscription area of the account, which Wondershare describes as where you get invoices, redeem serial numbers and cancel subscriptions.
- Find the Filmora subscription and cancel it, or turn its auto-renewal off.
- Do this at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends, which is the deadline Wondershare states.
- Read any amount shown before confirming: on an annual or multi-year contract past 30 days, this is where the 50% of remaining contract obligation appears.
- Keep the confirmation. Wondershare states that once you cancel, your service continues until the end of your contracted term.
Wondershare also publishes a cancellation page at support.wondershare.com that redirects into the same Account Center subscription area, and names contacting customer support as the alternative route.
Cancel a Filmora purchase on Android
FilmoraGo sells its subscriptions as Google Play in-app purchases, and Wondershare states that purchases made through Google Play must be handled through that platform.
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Select Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Filmora.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
- Check the entry now shows an expiry date rather than a renewal date.
Wondershare states that a purchase made through Google Play is not refundable by Wondershare and must go through the original platform. Google's own refund window is short before the decision passes to the developer.
Cancel a Filmora purchase on iPhone or iPad
Filmora also ships on iOS, where Apple bills the in-app purchase. Wondershare's own iOS description points at your account settings for turning off auto-renewal.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top, which is your Apple Account.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Filmora from the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm, at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Wondershare states that App Store purchases must be refunded through the original seller or platform, so Apple decides any refund on that charge rather than Wondershare.
A licence bought from a reseller
Wondershare sells through third-party marketplaces and resellers, and those purchases sit outside both the Account Center and the app stores.
- Check the receipt for the trader's name rather than assuming it was Wondershare.
- Take the cancellation to that seller under the terms you agreed with them.
- Wondershare states that purchases made through resellers or other third-party platforms must be refunded through the original seller or platform.
- If the licence still appears in your Wondershare account, check there whether it is set to auto-renew and turn that off.
What happens next?
- Wondershare states that once you cancel, your service will continue until the end of your contracted term, so the editor keeps working for the period you paid for.
- The watermark returns. Wondershare describes a Filmora Pro subscription as automatically removing the watermark and Logo Roll, which means both come back when the subscription ends.
- Paid editing materials stop. Wondershare describes the subscription as giving access to all features and paid editing materials including stickers and filter packages, which become unavailable for new projects.
- Filmora Cloud is a separate paid product rather than part of the editor plan, so cloud-stored projects depend on that subscription staying active.
- Videos already exported to your own disk are unaffected, since the subscription controls the editor rather than the files it produced.
- Wondershare states it may share your usage data with Apple or Google when contesting a refund request, including whether and to what extent the subscription, credits, points, hours or characters were used, and its recommendation on handling the request.
- Wondershare states it will notify you of any rate change at least 14 days in advance and give you the option to cancel.
WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK

Wondershare wants 50% of my remaining contract to let me cancel
That is its published rule on annual and multi-year contracts. Wondershare states that after 30 days you are charged a lump sum of 50% of your remaining contract obligation, and that service continues to the end of the contracted term. The two ways it does not arise are cancelling inside the 30 day money back window, which Wondershare says applies to most products bought directly from it, and reaching the end of the term, since half of nothing is nothing.
I cancelled and a renewal charge arrived anyway
Check the timing against Wondershare's own deadline: it states you should cancel at least 24 hours before the current trial or billing period ends. A cancellation on the day can land after the renewal has processed. Worse, Wondershare states a renewal order is not refundable where the subscription was not cancelled before the renewal charge, so the 30 day guarantee does not rescue it.
My free trial charged me immediately
Read which trial you took. Wondershare's rule covers paid trials as well as subscriptions, telling you to cancel at least 24 hours before the current trial or billing period ends. Its store listings also state that any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when the user purchases a subscription, so buying a plan during a trial ends the free part at once.
I paid extra for AI credits and cannot get them back
Wondershare states that usage-based benefits such as credits, points, hours or characters that have already been consumed are not refundable. Unused credits sit outside the subscription, so cancelling the plan does not return them and does not necessarily keep them usable either. Spend or write them off before the plan ends.
I cannot find the cancel control in my Wondershare account
Wondershare directs cancellations to the Account Center at accounts.wondershare.com and names contacting customer support as the documented alternative rather than a workaround, so a support case is a legitimate route. If nothing appears there at all, the purchase was made through Google Play, the App Store or a reseller, each of which holds its own cancellation.
