In this guide
Before you start.
- Work out who billed you. Invoice Simple names three paths: a subscription bought directly through the app, one bought through Google, and one bought through iTunes. Only the first is cancelled inside Invoice Simple.
- On iPhone, look for the right name in your subscription list. The iOS app is published as Invoice Maker with Invoice Simple in the title, under the seller name Zenvoice Inc, so the Apple entry may not read simply Invoice Simple.
- Expect no refund. Invoice Simple states that, per its terms, all fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable for the entire term, that there are no refunds or credits for partial use of the service, no upgrade or downgrade refunds, and no refunds for months unused with an active account.
- That makes the renewal date the only lever. Cancel before it rather than after, because nothing is returned for the part of a term you do not use.
- The trial is longer than most in this category. Invoice Simple states it offers a free trial to all users and that for 14 days you can create and send as many invoices and estimates as you like without purchasing a subscription.
- Back up before you go, even though the data stays. Invoice Simple describes an Export Invoice Summary option in the app's settings that produces CSV, PDF or XLSX, which is worth running while you still have access to everything.
- Do not confuse cancelling with deleting. Invoice Simple states you still have access to your account after cancelling up until the date of your next subscription renewal, and treats account deletion as a separate, destructive action to take afterwards.
- Switching devices does not affect what is stored. Invoice Simple states that switching plans does not delete data and that moving between iOS and Android does not affect stored data.
FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel Invoice Simple, step by step.
Cancel a subscription bought through Invoice Simple
This is the route for a plan Invoice Simple bills directly, usually one started on the web app. It is the only channel it can cancel itself.
- Log in with your Invoice Simple login credentials.
- Hit Settings.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
- Follow the prompts and keep any confirmation you are shown.
- Invoice Simple states you still have access to your account after cancelling up until the date of your next subscription renewal.
Invoice Simple also publishes an escalation route: email support@invoicesimple.com with Cancellation Request in the subject line, the account email and a screenshot of the subscription receipt.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad
Apple bills an App Store purchase, and Invoice Simple states that for an iTunes subscription you cancel in your device's app settings.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top, which is your Apple Account.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Look for the Invoice Simple or Invoice Maker entry, which may be listed under the seller name Zenvoice Inc.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm, at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Invoice Simple directs Apple refunds to the Report a Problem link on the iTunes receipt rather than handling them itself.
Cancel on Android
Google Play bills a purchase made in the Android app. Invoice Simple states that in that case you need to cancel it directly through Google.
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Select Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Invoice Simple.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
Invoice Simple states that a refund on this channel is requested directly through Google rather than from Invoice Simple.
Delete the account afterwards
A separate and irreversible step. Invoice Simple treats cancelling and deleting as two different actions, and the order matters.
- Cancel the subscription first, using the route above that matches your biller.
- Export what you want to keep using Export Invoice Summary in the app's settings, which produces CSV, PDF or XLSX.
- On mobile, open Settings and use the delete option under the Account header.
- On the web, open Settings and use Delete Account at the bottom.
- Understand that this removes the stored records that cancelling would have left intact.
Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription that Apple or Google is billing, so the store cancellation has to happen first or the charges continue.
What happens next?
- Your records stay. Invoice Simple states that your invoice history, estimate records and client information remain securely stored in the Invoice Simple cloud system even after cancelling, and that you can access this data at any time using your login credentials.
- Invoice Simple states you still have access to your account after cancelling up until the date of your next subscription renewal.
- The premium features stop at the end of that term: the unlimited invoices and estimates, premium templates, client signatures, payment options including PayPal, scheduled payments and deposits, and the business summary reports it lists as trial and subscription benefits.
- Invoice Simple states that switching plans does not delete data and that switching between iOS and Android does not affect stored data, so moving between tiers or devices is safe for the records.
- There is no money back. Invoice Simple states all fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable for the entire term, with no refunds or credits for partial use, no upgrade or downgrade refunds, and no refunds for months unused with an active account.
- Deleting the account is the destructive step, not cancelling. Run Export Invoice Summary before that if you want the records outside Invoice Simple.
WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK
If you get stuck.
Invoice Simple is not in my App Store subscriptions
Check the name before concluding it is missing. The iOS app is published as Invoice Maker with Invoice Simple in the title, under the seller name Zenvoice Inc, so the Apple entry may not read the way you expect. Also confirm you are signed in to the Apple ID that paid. If neither store has it, the subscription was bought directly through Invoice Simple and is cancelled by logging in, hitting Settings and selecting Cancel Subscription.
I cancelled and want the unused months refunded
Invoice Simple states outright that all fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable for the entire term, that there are no refunds or credits for partial use of the service, no upgrade or downgrade refunds, and no refunds for months unused with an active account. Where Apple or Google took the payment, their own refund processes still apply to that charge under their own rules.
I deleted the app and I am still being charged
Removing an app never cancels a store subscription. Apple and Google keep billing until the subscription itself is cancelled in the store settings, and a subscription bought directly through Invoice Simple keeps billing until you cancel it in Settings. Deleting your Invoice Simple account does not stop a store subscription either.
Will I lose my invoices if I cancel?
No. Invoice Simple states that invoice history, estimate records and client information remain securely stored in its cloud system even after cancelling, and remain accessible with your login credentials. What does remove them is deleting the account, which is a separate action. Export Invoice Summary in the app's settings produces CSV, PDF or XLSX if you want copies regardless.
My 14 day trial charged me
Invoice Simple states the trial runs 14 days and lets you create and send as many invoices and estimates as you like without purchasing a subscription. It does not publish what cadence the plan converts to, so the renewal date shown in your store or account settings is the figure to work from. Cancel at least 24 hours before it, which is what both stores require.
GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
How do I cancel Invoice Simple?
Where you bought it. Directly through Invoice Simple: log in with your Invoice Simple credentials, hit Settings and select Cancel Subscription. Through Google: cancel in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Through iTunes: cancel in your device's app settings under Subscriptions.
Does Invoice Simple refund unused time?
No. Invoice Simple states that all fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable for the entire term, and that there are no refunds or credits for partial use of the service, no upgrade or downgrade refunds, and no refunds for months unused with an active account.
Do I keep my invoices after cancelling?
Yes. Invoice Simple states that your invoice history, estimate records and client information remain securely stored in its cloud system even after cancelling, and that you can access them at any time with your login credentials.
How long is the Invoice Simple free trial?
Invoice Simple states it offers a free trial to all users and that for 14 days you can create and send as many invoices and estimates as you like without having to purchase a subscription.
Should I delete my Invoice Simple account to stop the billing?
No. Cancel the subscription first with whoever bills it, because deleting the account does not stop a store subscription and does remove the records that cancelling would have left in place. Invoice Simple states you keep account access after cancelling until the date of your next renewal.
