Before you start.
- iQIYI charges you 24 hours before the renewal date, not on it, and its own help pages ask you to cancel at least 24 hours before that date. Leaving it to the day of renewal is usually too late.
- Find which platform you paid on, because it decides the route. iQIYI accepts bank cards on the PC website, Apple on iOS, Google on Android and Android TV, and Roku Pay on Roku, and says the specific methods available depend on your region.
- iQIYI warns about a trap that catches people twice over: buying a new promotional VIP package does not switch off an auto-renewal you already had. It states plainly that even after buying a promotional package you will still be charged if the earlier renewal was never cancelled.
- The same warning extends further. iQIYI says that if you enable multiple auto-renewal services under one account using different payment methods, the VIP may renew on several billing cycles through each method at once. Check every payment route, not just the one you remember.
- VIP is tied to the account you were logged in to at the time of purchase. iQIYI states the VIP cannot be transferred to another account afterwards, so if the subscription is missing, the usual cause is that you are signed in to the wrong account.
- Cancelling the automatic renewal does not end the VIP immediately. iQIYI says you keep the current VIP until it expires, and only then does the account return to free content.

Cancel iQIYI, step by step.
Cancel a card payment on the iq.com website
This is the route for VIP bought with a bank card on the desktop website, which is the only place iQIYI takes card payments directly.
- Go to iq.com and log in to the account that holds the VIP.
- Click the profile picture in the upper right corner, then My Account.
- Scroll down to Manage Subscription.
- Click Change on the right of Manage Subscription.
- Follow the prompts through to cancelling the automatic renewal.
iQIYI says to do this at least 24 hours before the renewal date, otherwise the subscription may renew anyway.
Cancel inside the iQIYI mobile app
The app carries a self-service page for managing the renewal on a card-paid subscription. iQIYI points people here both to cancel and to check for renewals they forgot about.
- Open the iQIYI app and log in to the account that holds the VIP.
- Tap Me.
- Tap Feedback.
- Open Self service, then Manage Subscription.
- Review every auto-renewal listed there, not only the one you were looking for, and cancel the ones you no longer want.
iQIYI specifically recommends this page for checking whether more than one auto-renewal is running under the same account, which is the cause of its most common duplicate-charge case.
Cancel an Apple subscription
A VIP bought inside the iOS app is billed by Apple. iQIYI's own instructions route you to iOS Settings rather than into the app.
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
- Select the iQIYI subscription you want to stop.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
- In the App Store instead: tap your account icon at the top, open Subscriptions, and cancel from there.
iQIYI says that if you cannot cancel it yourself, you can also contact Apple customer service for help. iQIYI cannot stop an Apple charge on your behalf.
Cancel a Google Play subscription
A VIP bought on an Android phone or Android TV is billed by Google, and iQIYI directs cancellations to the Play Store.
- Open the Play Store app on the Android phone, signed in with the Google account used for the purchase.
- Tap the profile picture, or the menu in the upper left, to open the full menu.
- Open Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select the iQIYI subscription, tap Manage, then Cancel subscription.
- The screen shows the service expiry date; select Cancel subscriptions again to confirm.
iQIYI says you can contact Google Play customer service if you cannot complete this yourself.
Cancel a VIP bought through a third party
iQIYI is also sold on Roku and through other platforms depending on the region. Where a third party took the payment, iQIYI does not control the renewal.
- Identify the platform from the receipt or the charge description. iQIYI names Roku Pay as the only payment method on Roku TV.
- Open that platform's own subscription management page.
- Cancel the iQIYI subscription there.
- iQIYI's instruction for this case is direct: if you purchased the VIP on a third-party platform, contact that platform to cancel the subscription.
What happens next?
- Cancelling the automatic renewal does not shorten the VIP you already paid for. iQIYI says you can use the current VIP normally until it expires, and it will not renew after that.
- When the VIP expires the account keeps working on free content, and iQIYI content that is VIP-exclusive becomes unavailable again.
- Downloaded VIP content stops playing once the membership ends. iQIYI says member-exclusive videos you downloaded can only be viewed with an active membership.
- Non-recurring packages, including VIP gift cards, do not renew at all. iQIYI says these run for calendar months, quarters or years and simply expire.

I bought a promotional VIP package and I was charged again anyway
This is the failure case iQIYI documents most explicitly. It states that a promotional package does not affect a subscription renewal already on the account, and that you will still be charged within 24 hours before the renewal date if you never turned off the earlier auto-renewal. Buying a cheaper package is not a way out of an existing one: go into Me, Feedback, Self service, Manage Subscription and cancel the old renewal separately.
I am being charged more than once a month
iQIYI says that enabling several auto-renewal services under one account using different payment methods can cause the VIP to renew on different billing cycles through each method. One card renewal and one Apple renewal can run side by side without either knowing about the other. Check the Manage Subscription page in the app for the account-side renewals, and check your Apple and Google subscription lists separately.
I cancelled and the page still shows my membership expiring
That is the expected result rather than a problem. iQIYI says a cancelled renewal leaves the current VIP usable until its expiry date, and the system simply does not renew it afterwards. The expiry date is the confirmation that the renewal is off.
My money was taken but the app says I am not a member
iQIYI lists three causes: you may be logged in to a different account than the one that bought the VIP, the purchase may have been made without being logged in at all, which is possible on iOS, or the activation may be delayed after a Google or Apple payment. It asks you to submit Feedback from the device you paid on, with a screenshot of the purchase record.
My VIP expired earlier than I expected
iQIYI gives a cause people do not think of: if a refund was granted for the previous transaction, the VIP status changes to expired. It also lists a non-subscription package simply reaching its end date, and being signed in to the wrong account. Check the transaction details before assuming it was cancelled by mistake.

How do I cancel iQIYI VIP?
Cancel the automatic renewal where you paid. For a card payment made on iq.com, go to My Account, Manage Subscription, Change. In the app, go to Me, Feedback, Self service, Manage Subscription. Does deleting the iQIYI app cancel the subscription?
