Before you start.
- Viki Pass is the paid subscription sold inside Rakuten Viki. The free ad-supported tier is not a subscription and has nothing to cancel, so if you never entered a payment method there is no charge to stop.
- Find the billing platform before you start. Viki's Subscription tab lists it directly, and your bank statement also identifies it: Viki.com for a web subscription, Apple.com/bill for Apple, Google*Viki Inc for Google Play, and Roku For Viki Inc for Roku.
- Viki recommends making subscription changes at least 2 days before the renewal date. It also states that refunds will not be provided for unused subscriptions or late cancellations.
- Viki says a subscription starts to renew within 24 to 48 hours before the end of the current period, so a cancellation entered on the renewal day itself may be too late to stop that charge.
- There is one trap specific to Viki: upgrading or downgrading during the cancellation period reverts the plan to active status and you are billed for the new plan. If you have cancelled, do not touch the plan buttons afterwards.
- Viki Pass Plus is sold as an Americas-only plan in some stores and worldwide in others. Both Standard and Plus are available worldwide, but regional content restrictions apply to all plans, and Viki lists 'subscription plans not intended to be accessible in your country, including purchases made via a VPN service' among the cases where it will not refund.
FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel Viki Pass, step by step.
Cancel a Viki.com subscription
This is the route for a subscription bought on the Viki website with a card. It is also the page that tells you which platform bills you, so it is worth opening first whichever route you end up using.
- On a web or mobile browser, log in to Viki.com.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner of the homepage.
- Select Account Settings and click the Subscription tab.
- Check the billing platform shown here. If it says Apple, Google Play or Roku, use the matching route below instead.
- Click Cancel plan, then choose Yes, cancel plan on the pop-up prompt.
- The page refreshes with a confirmation, and an optional survey appears.
Viki says you should receive an email confirming the cancellation, and your benefits stay active until the end of the billing period. If no email arrives, Viki treats that as a sign the cancellation did not go through.
Cancel a Google Play subscription
Google manages billing for Play subscriptions, and Viki directs billing questions such as payment issues and unauthorised charges to Google Play Support rather than handling them itself.
- Open the Google Play Store app on the Android device you subscribed on.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Select Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Viki Pass, then tap Cancel subscription and confirm.
- Alternatively, in the Android Viki app: tap Me on the bottom menu, tap the Settings icon in the top right, then scroll to Viki Pass, Manage Subscriptions, Cancel Subscription.
Viki states that cancelling a Google Play subscription from the Android TV Viki app is not currently available. Use a phone, a browser or the Play Store instead.
Cancel an Apple subscription
Apple manages the billing for Apple subscriptions. Viki says to contact Apple Support directly for payment issues, refunds and unauthorised charges, because Viki has no access to your Apple billing history.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Viki Pass from the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
- In the iOS Viki app the path is: ME on the bottom menu, the Settings icon in the top right, then Viki Pass, Manage subscriptions, Cancel subscription, which redirects you to the Apple Subscriptions page to finish.
On Apple TV, open Settings, select Users & Accounts and then your account, select Subscriptions, choose Viki Pass and select Cancel Subscription.
Cancel a Roku subscription
A Viki Pass bought through the Viki Roku channel is billed by Roku and shows as Roku For Viki Inc on a statement. Viki states it cannot process refunds for Roku subscriptions.
- Open the Viki channel options on the homepage of your Roku device, or
- Log in to Viki.com on a web or mobile browser, open Account Settings, and use the Subscription tab.
- Follow the cancellation prompts through to a confirmation.
Roku charges are refunded by Roku, not by Viki. Viki directs Roku refund requests to Roku's own process.
What happens next?
- Cancelling stops the renewal. Viki keeps your Viki Pass benefits active until the end of the billing period you already paid for, on every platform.
- A cancelled web or Google Play subscription can be reversed during that remaining period: open Account Settings, the Subscription tab, and click Resubscribe now. Viki notes some Play subscriptions may not be restorable.
- Rentals are separate from Viki Pass. Rental fees are billed on their own and cancelling the Pass does not cancel or refund a rental.
- Viki lists a long set of situations it will not refund, including cancellation made after charges have been processed, forgetting to cancel, an unused subscription, and content not being available in your region.

Viki Pass is not in my Apple or Google subscriptions list
Viki's own guidance is to check you are signed in with the correct Apple ID or Google account first. If it is still not there and you are still being charged, Viki says you likely subscribed through the Viki website, or through a different store than the one you are looking in. Open Account Settings on Viki.com and read the billing platform on the Subscription tab: that answers it outright.
I cancelled but I was charged again
Viki gives three causes. First, the renewal begins 24 to 48 hours before the period ends, so a last-minute cancellation can land after the charge started. Second, if no confirmation email arrived the cancellation probably did not complete, and you need to repeat it. Third, you may hold a second Viki Pass on another Viki account or another platform, which Viki treats as a separate subscription entirely.
I am being charged twice for Viki Pass
Viki says this happens when there are subscriptions under two different Viki accounts, or two under the same account. It calls out Android TV specifically: subscribing through the Android TV Play Store during the Install and Subscribe flow can create a duplicate. Where the duplicate landed on an account that already had an active subscription, Viki says Google Play processes the cancellation and refund within three working days. Otherwise contact Viki support with the receipts and the last four digits of the card.
I cancelled, then changed the plan, and the subscription is active again
This is a documented Viki behaviour rather than a bug. Upgrading or downgrading during the cancellation period reverts the plan to active status and you are billed for the new plan. If you meant to leave, do not press Change Plan after cancelling.
There is a small charge on my card right after I subscribed or updated my payment details
Viki describes this as an authorisation hold placed to confirm the billing information. Viki says the hold is instantly reversed and never collected, but some banks take longer to clear it, so it can sit as a pending transaction for up to five days. Contact your bank if the credit does not appear after that.
My Google Play subscription in India stopped renewing on its own
Viki published a notice about this: under the Reserve Bank of India eMandate rules, Viki Pass subscriptions bought through Google Play India stop renewing automatically if the billing card is not from a supported bank. In that case you re-subscribe at the end of each cycle, and you cannot change plan mid-period. It is not a cancellation you made.

How do I cancel Viki Pass?
Cancel it where it is billed. Log in to Viki.com, open your profile icon, Account Settings, and the Subscription tab: it names the billing platform. For a web subscription, click Cancel plan there. For Apple or Google Play, cancel in that store's subscription settings. For Roku, use the Viki channel options on the device or the same Account Settings page.
Is Viki Pass the same as the free Viki app?
No. Viki Pass is the paid subscription, sold in Standard and Plus tiers with monthly and annual billing. The free tier is ad-supported and carries no charge, so there is nothing to cancel on it. Only Viki Pass renews.

Does deleting the Viki app cancel Viki Pass?
No. Viki states plainly that uninstalling an app will not stop the subscription, for both Apple and Google Play. The subscription has to be cancelled in the store or on Viki.com.
What happens to my downloads when Viki Pass ends?
Offline Viewing is a Viki Pass Plus feature in the regions where it is available. Once the Pass expires the account returns to the free tier, and Pass features stop. Viki Pass exclusive titles also stop being accessible.
