Before you start.
- Export your Markups before the term ends. onX advises that if you are not renewing and want to keep your data, you should export your Markups before your subscription expires.
- Expect no refund. onX states that cancelling does not trigger a refund and that you retain paid access until your subscription term ends.
- Know what survives. onX says you keep all saved Markups, including Waypoints, Routes and Tracks, along with satellite imagery, location services and your account login.
- Know what stops. onX lists what you lose access to: Map Layers such as public and private lands and hunting units, Offline Maps, Tools including Tracker, Wind and Weather and Trail Cameras, the My Content menu, Topo and Hybrid Basemaps, and 3D Maps.
- Work out who bills you. If you subscribed inside the app on a phone, a store may hold the billing, in which case the cancellation belongs in that store's subscription list rather than in your onX account.
- If you are mid-season, note the date your term ends rather than cancelling and assuming access stops. Paid features continue to that date.

Cancel from your computer
onX documents this route step by step, and it is the clearest place to see which membership you hold before ending it.
- Go to onxmaps.com and click Log In in the upper-right corner.
- Select Hunt Log In and enter your email and password if prompted.
- Click My Account & Settings from the left toolbar, then click My Account.
- Click Manage next to your onX Hunt Membership.
- Follow the prompts through to a cancellation confirmation and note the date your term ends.

Cancel from your phone
onX documents an in-app path and also points to your device's Subscriptions page, which is where a store-billed membership is actually stopped.
- Open the onX Hunt App and open the Main Menu.
- Tap My Account, then tap Manage Subscriptions.
- If this opens your device's Subscriptions page, complete the cancellation there by tapping Cancel or Manage Subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation in whichever screen appears.
- Check that the subscription now shows an expiry date rather than a renewal date.
onX describes opening your Subscriptions page and tapping Cancel or Manage Subscription, which is the store's own screen. The cancellation completes there rather than in the onX app.
Cancel an Apple-billed onX Hunt membership
Use this if you subscribed inside the app on an iPhone or iPad and the onX account page shows no cancellation option.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select onX Hunt.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If onX Hunt is not in that list, a different Apple Account paid for it or the membership was bought directly from onX.
Cancel a Google Play-billed onX Hunt membership
Use this if you subscribed inside the Android app, where Google holds the billing.
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select onX Hunt.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the confirmation steps.
Use the Google Account that bought the membership, since another account will not list it.
What happens next?
- onX says you retain paid access until your subscription term ends, at which point your account reverts to a Basic free Membership.
- onX says you keep all saved Markups, including Waypoints, Routes and Tracks, plus satellite imagery, location services and your account login.
- onX says you lose access to Map Layers such as public and private lands and hunting units, Offline Maps, Tools including Tracker, Wind and Weather and Trail Cameras, the My Content menu, Topo and Hybrid Basemaps, and 3D Maps.
- onX states that cancelling does not trigger a refund, so the remainder of the term is used rather than returned.
- Offline maps going away matters most in the field. Anything you rely on without signal should be checked before the term ends, not after.

I cancelled and lost my offline maps before a trip
Offline Maps are on onX's list of features you lose access to when the account reverts to Basic, so they stop at the end of the term rather than surviving it. onX says you do keep your saved Markups, including Waypoints, Routes and Tracks. The practical step is to export your Markups before your subscription expires, which is what onX advises for anyone not renewing, and to plan for having no Topo, Hybrid or 3D basemaps afterwards.
There is no cancel option in my onX account
That usually means a store holds your billing. onX's own phone instructions point to your device Subscriptions page and to tapping Cancel or Manage Subscription there, which is the store's screen rather than onX's. Check whether your receipt came from Apple or Google, and cancel in that store's subscription list. If the receipt came from onX, use the computer route through My Account & Settings, My Account, then Manage.
I cancelled but I still have full access
That is expected. onX says you retain paid access until your subscription term ends, and only then does the account revert to Basic. A cancellation confirmed with a future end date is working correctly. The thing to verify is that the membership shows as expiring rather than renewing on that date.
I asked for a refund and was told no
onX states plainly that cancelling does not trigger a refund and that you retain paid access until your subscription term ends. If a store took the payment, any refund request goes to that store under its own rules rather than to onX. Treat it as a request that can be declined and focus on stopping the renewal in time for the next term.
Will I lose my waypoints and tracks?
No. onX says you keep all saved Markups, including Waypoints, Routes and Tracks, along with satellite imagery, location services and your account login, after reverting to Basic. What goes is the My Content menu and the premium map layers around them. onX still recommends exporting your Markups before expiry if you want a copy outside the app.
