Before you start.
- Find your renewal date. Target's rule is framed around the current membership period renewing rather than a fixed notice period, so the date of the next charge is what you are working back from.
- Know which plan you are on. Target lists the annual membership at $99 a year and the monthly at $10.99 a month, with a discounted $49 a year or $4.99 a month rate for Target Circle Card holders and verified audiences including students, teachers, military and government assistance recipients.
- If you are on a trial, count the days. Target offers a free 14-day trial with limited benefits, and it converts rather than expiring quietly.
- Check which cards are on your account. Target states that if the payment card is invalid, another card connected to your account may be charged, so removing one card does not reliably stop a renewal.
- If your plan is to switch rather than leave, note Target's own instruction: to move from monthly to annual you cancel the monthly membership and sign up for the annual one after your renewal expiration.

Cancel in your Target.com account
This is the route Target names in its own membership terms, and the Membership section is where the subscription lives.
- Sign in at Target.com with the account that holds the membership.
- Go to the Membership section of your account. Target directs members to target.com/account/memberships to manage Circle 360.
- Select the Target Circle 360 membership.
- Complete the cancellation before your current membership period renews, which is the condition Target states for avoiding the charge.
- Check the membership status afterwards and keep any confirmation email.
Target states it will charge your payment method on an automatically recurring basis for the membership price then in effect, plus applicable taxes, until you cancel.
Cancel by phone
Target publishes a number alongside the account route in the same terms, which is the fallback when the account page will not complete it.
- Call Target.com Guest Services on 1-800-591-3869.
- Ask for the Target Circle 360 membership to be cancelled, and say whether you are on the trial, the monthly or the annual plan.
- Ask them to confirm the date the membership ends and that no further charge is due.
- Ask for the confirmation in writing, and note the date and who you spoke to.
Cancel in the Target app
The Target app signs into the same account, so the membership is reachable there. It is the app for a retailer's own billing, not a store subscription.
- Open the Target app and make sure you are signed in to the account that holds the membership.
- Open your account and go to the membership area, the same Membership section as on the website.
- Select Target Circle 360 and follow the cancellation prompts.
- If the option is not there, use Target.com in a browser or call 1-800-591-3869 rather than waiting.
- Confirm the change before the current period renews.
Do not look for Circle 360 in your iPhone or Android subscription settings. Target bills the membership directly, so it will not appear there.
What happens next?
- Cancelling stops the automatic renewal. Target states it charges on a recurring basis for the membership price then in effect until you cancel.

- Your Shipt account is not deleted when you stop using Sign in with Target. Target states the Shipt account and data shared with it remain, and points members to Shipt's privacy policy to delete that data.
- Target states that Target Circle 360 Bonuses are available only to guests with new or active paid memberships and that trial memberships are not eligible.

Target Circle 360 is not in my Apple or Google subscriptions
It will not be there. Target bills the membership itself and charges the payment method on your Target account, so the Target app is a shopping app rather than the billing channel. Cancel in the Membership section of your Target.com account, or call 1-800-591-3869.
I cancelled but was charged anyway
Check whether the cancellation completed before the period renewed. Target states the cancellation must be completed before your current membership period renews to avoid being charged, so one finished on the renewal day itself can be too late. If you cancelled earlier and were charged, call Guest Services on 1-800-591-3869 with the confirmation.
I removed my card and Target charged a different one
Target states that if the payment card is invalid, another card connected to your account may be charged. Deleting or expiring a card is not a cancellation. Cancel the membership itself in the Membership section or on the phone.
My free trial converted to a paid membership
The 14-day trial converts rather than lapsing, and Target's rule is that cancellation has to be completed before the period renews. Once the paid period has started, cancelling stops the next renewal. Whether anything is refunded is a question for Guest Services on 1-800-591-3869 rather than something Target's membership terms promise.
I wanted the cheaper rate and got charged the full price
Target states that the discounted $4.99 a month or $49 a year price depends on staying eligible, and that if your eligibility changes or you no longer have a Target Circle Card saved to your account, the subscription renews at the regular $10.99 a month or $99 a year. Check whether the card is still saved to the account before treating the higher charge as an error.
