Before you start.
- Check which plan you are on. Thrive's terms list renewal at $59.95 for annual memberships and $12 for monthly memberships bought after April 2022, so the renewal date and amount differ by plan.
- If you joined on an annual plan for the first time within the last 30 days, you can ask for a full refund. Thrive's terms say first-time annual members may cancel for any reason within their first 30 days for a full refund, and give up the ability to place orders.
- Turn off Recurring Shipments as well if you use them. Cancelling the membership and stopping automatic orders are separate settings.
- Do not place an order after the cancellation takes effect. Thrive says an order placed then is charged at the then-current rate for a non-refundable annual membership.

FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel Thrive Market, step by step.
Cancel through Member Services chat or email
This is how most members cancel. Thrive's terms name the Chat button at the bottom right of the site and help@thrivemarket.com, and its help article routes members outside California to its virtual agent.
- Sign in at thrivemarket.com with the account that pays the membership.
- Open the Chat button at the bottom right of the site, or use the link on Thrive's How do I cancel my membership help page.
- Say that you want to cancel your membership, not pause deliveries. Thrive's help page shows alternatives such as Recurring changes and price guarantees before cancelling.
- If you are a first-time annual member inside your first 30 days and want your money back, ask for the full refund in the same conversation.
- Keep the chat transcript or the confirming email. If you prefer email, write to help@thrivemarket.com from your account address and ask for written confirmation.
Keep going past the retention suggestions until Member Services confirms the cancellation. An offer screen is not a cancellation.
Cancel in Account Settings if you live in California
Thrive's terms let California-based members cancel through their Account page, and its help page says California residents can manage the membership in Account Settings.
- Sign in at thrivemarket.com.
- Open Account Settings and find your membership settings.
- Choose to cancel the membership and follow the prompts to the end.
- Check that the membership now shows it will not renew, and keep the confirmation email.
Turn off Recurring Shipments
Recurring Shipments are automatic orders, separate from the membership fee. Stop them too, or orders keep coming while you are still a member.
- Go to the Recurring page at thrivemarket.com/autoship.
- Scroll to the FAQ section at the very bottom, below your upcoming order.
- Open How do I turn off Recurring Shipments?, then Turn Off Recurring Shipments Here.
- Confirm with Continue to pause in each pop-up.
- Check the Recurring page shows that Recurring is turned off.
What happens next?
- Your membership perks continue until the end of the period you already paid for. Thrive says you are not charged for any renewal after cancelling.
- Membership fees are non-refundable apart from the 30 day full refund for first-time annual members.
- Where a refund is issued, Thrive says most go back to the original payment method within 3 to 5 business days, depending on your bank.
- A gift membership can be cancelled by the recipient at any time, but Thrive's terms say no refund is issued.
- Changed your mind? Thrive says you can turn automatic renewal back on from your Account page under Membership Settings by clicking Automatically Renew.

How do I cancel a Thrive Market free trial?
Cancel before the trial ends, through Member Services. Thrive's terms say that when a free trial ends it starts billing the then-current annual membership fee.
WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK
If you get stuck.
I cannot find a cancel button in my account
That is expected outside California. Thrive's terms give the Account page cancellation to California-based members only, and everyone else cancels through Member Services by chat or at help@thrivemarket.com.
I was charged for a membership after I cancelled
Check whether you placed an order after the cancellation took effect. Thrive says an order placed then is charged at the then-current rate for a non-refundable annual membership. If you did not order, send the charge date and your cancellation confirmation to Member Services.
Orders keep arriving after I cancelled
Recurring Shipments are a separate setting. Turn them off on the Recurring page, and cancel any upcoming shipment that has not yet processed.
My annual membership renewed and I did not want it
Thrive's 30 day full refund in its terms applies to first-time annual members. For a renewal, contact Member Services straight away and ask; the terms say other fees paid before termination are non-refundable, so treat a refund as a request rather than a right.
