In this guide
Before you start.
- Check the receipt first. Ubisoft+ sold through PlayStation, Xbox or Amazon Luna is billed by that platform, and the Ubisoft account page cannot stop a charge it does not make.
- There is more than one Ubisoft+ tier, and they cover different libraries at different prices. Confirm which one you hold so you cancel the subscription you are actually paying for.
- Nothing in the subscription is a purchase. Ubisoft+ is access to a catalogue while you pay, so cancelling ends access to every included game rather than leaving you the ones you installed.
- Save data and progress normally stay attached to your Ubisoft account through Ubisoft Connect, so buying a game later usually picks up where you stopped. You cannot reach that progress while you have neither the subscription nor the game.
- Downloadable content and season passes you bought outright are separate purchases and are not part of the subscription.
- Cancel before the renewal date rather than on it. A monthly plan renews on a fixed date and a cancellation made that day can arrive after the charge.
FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel Ubisoft+, step by step.
Cancel a Ubisoft-billed subscription
Use this when you subscribed on PC through Ubisoft and the receipt comes from Ubisoft rather than a console store.
- Sign in to your Ubisoft account and open your account information.
- Open the subscriptions section of the account.
- Select the Ubisoft+ subscription you want to stop.
- Choose the cancellation option and work through the prompts, including any survey or offer to stay.
- Continue until a confirmation appears, then check the subscription shows an end date rather than a next billing date.
Ubisoft's cancellation flow asks why you are leaving and can offer alternatives before the final step. Closing the page early leaves the subscription active.
Cancel Ubisoft+ bought on PlayStation
Bought on a PS5 or PS4, this is a PlayStation subscription billed by Sony to your PSN account, and the Ubisoft website will not show a way to stop it.
- Sign in to PlayStation Account Management, or use the console.
- On the web, select Subscription from the menu on the left and find the Ubisoft+ entry.
- On PS5, go to Settings, Users and Accounts, Account, Payment and Subscriptions, Subscriptions.
- Select Ubisoft+ and choose Cancel Subscription, then confirm.
Cancel Ubisoft+ bought on Xbox
On Xbox the subscription is billed through your Microsoft account with your other Xbox subscriptions.
- Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in with the account that pays.
- Open the services and subscriptions section.
- Find the Ubisoft+ entry and open its management options.
- Turn off recurring billing or cancel, then confirm.
- Check the entry shows an expiry date rather than a renewal date.
What happens next?
- The subscription stays usable until the end of the period you already paid for, and cancelling early does not shorten it.
- Included games stop launching once it ends. They stay installed and ask for an active subscription, so reinstalling does not bring them back.
- Save data and progress stay tied to your Ubisoft account rather than being deleted, so buying a game or resubscribing normally restores where you were.
- Games and downloadable content you bought outright are unaffected and keep working.
- Ubisoft+ does not convert any included game into a purchase, however long you subscribed, so there is nothing that becomes permanently yours by staying longer.
- Cancelling the subscription does not close the Ubisoft account, and your friends, achievements and purchase history remain.
WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK
If you get stuck.
There is no cancel option in my Ubisoft account
That points to the subscription being billed somewhere else. A Ubisoft+ plan bought on PlayStation, Xbox or Amazon Luna belongs to that platform's billing, and only that account can stop it. Check the receipt to see who charged you, then cancel there.
My games will not start any more
Included games are licensed for the length of the subscription rather than sold, so they stop launching the moment it ends even though the files remain. Your progress is still attached to your Ubisoft account, so buying the game or subscribing again picks it back up.
I cancelled and was charged again
Check whether the cancellation reached a confirmation screen, since the flow includes a reason survey and offers before the final step. Then check for a second subscription: subscribing on PC and again on a console creates two separate plans billed by two different companies, and stopping one leaves the other running.
I cannot sign in to the account that has the subscription
The subscription can only be stopped from the account that holds it, so recovering access comes first through Ubisoft's account recovery, or the console platform's if that is who bills you. Meanwhile the charges continue, so identify the billing platform from your bank statement and contact its support directly.
I subscribed for one game and want the rest of the month
Cancelling does not cut access short: the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for and stops renewing after that. There is no benefit to leaving it active until the last day, so cancelling immediately after you finish is the safe move.
Still not cancelled?Common reasons a subscription will not cancel
GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
How do I cancel Ubisoft+?
Cancel it where it is billed. A Ubisoft-billed plan is cancelled in your Ubisoft account under account information and subscriptions. A plan bought on PlayStation or Xbox is cancelled in that console account instead.
Do I keep Ubisoft+ games after cancelling?
No. Ubisoft+ is access to a catalogue while the subscription runs, so included games stop launching when it ends. Only games you bought outright stay yours.
What happens to my progress?
Progress and saves stay attached to your Ubisoft account rather than being deleted. You cannot reach them while the game will not launch, but buying the game or resubscribing normally restores them.
How do I cancel Ubisoft+ on Xbox or PS5?
Use the console's own account. On Xbox, open account.microsoft.com, find the Ubisoft+ entry under services and subscriptions, and turn off recurring billing. On PlayStation, use Account Management or the console subscriptions menu and select Cancel Subscription.
Is there a Ubisoft+ app subscription on my phone?
No. Ubisoft+ is billed by Ubisoft or by the console platform you bought it on, so it does not appear in the Apple or Google subscription lists on your phone.
