HEALTH & FITNESSSubscription cancellation guide

How to cancel Noom subscription.

Noom documents three routes and you need the one that matches how you paid. In the app: tap your profile picture at the top left, open Settings, then Manage Subscription, and follow the prompts. On the web: sign in to the subscription portal at account.noom.com and choose Cancel Subscription. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel there instead. Noom says your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing cycle even if you cancel mid-cycle, and that uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription. The refund window is short: Noom says refunds may be available if requested within 14 days of your first charge, and that renewal charges are not eligible for refunds.

Before you start.

  • Work out who bills you before you start. Noom names its own app and web portal, the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store as separate channels, and cancelling in the wrong one leaves the charge in place.
  • Cancel before the next billing date. Noom says the subscription stays active until the end of the current billing cycle even if you cancel mid-cycle, so cancelling early costs you nothing but waiting costs you a renewal.
  • If a refund is the real goal, mind the 14 days. Noom says refunds may be available if requested within 14 days of your first charge, and states plainly that renewal charges are not eligible for refunds.
  • Noom's trials convert into paid plans. Treat the end of a trial as a billing date and cancel before it rather than on it.
  • Uninstalling does nothing. Noom states that uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription, and that you must use one of its three methods before the next billing date.
  • If you are on a Noom Med or telehealth plan, the refund rules differ from Noom Weight. Noom describes refunds for Noom Med unless a prescription has already been written, and a 7 day window for telehealth for branded meds unless a clinical visit has occurred.

FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE

Cancel Noom, step by step.

Cancel in the Noom app

This is the route most people reach for, and Noom documents it first. It works for subscriptions Noom bills directly.

  1. Open the Noom app and tap your profile picture at the top left.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Tap Manage Subscription.
  4. Follow the prompts through to a confirmation rather than stopping at an offer.
  5. Check that the confirmation names an end date, and keep it.

If the app hands you to Apple or Google at this point, a store holds your billing and the cancellation has to be completed there.

Cancel in the Noom subscription portal

Noom documents a web portal separately from the app. Use it if the app will not complete the cancellation, or if you prefer a browser.

  1. Go to account.noom.com and sign in to the subscription portal.
  2. Find your active subscription.
  3. Click Cancel Subscription.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps through to the confirmation.
  5. Note the date your access is said to end.

Sign in with the email address that receives the Noom receipts. A second account made later will not show the subscription being charged.

Cancel an Apple-billed Noom subscription

Noom names the Apple App Store as one of its billing channels. Where Apple holds the billing, Noom's own app and portal cannot stop the charge.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select Noom in the list.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

If Noom is not in that list, either a different Apple Account paid for it or Noom bills you directly. The receipt email tells you which.

Cancel a Google Play-billed Noom subscription

Noom names the Google Play Store as a billing channel too. Use the Google Account that made the purchase.

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right.
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  4. Select Noom.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription and complete the confirmation steps.

A subscription bought on a different Google Account will not appear here, which is the usual reason it looks missing.

What happens next?

  • Access continues to the end of the cycle. Noom says your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, even if you cancel mid-cycle.
  • Cancelling is not a refund. Noom says refunds may be available if requested within 14 days of your first charge and that renewal charges are not eligible for refunds, so the two are separate requests.
  • Your logged food, weight history and course progress stay with the account rather than being wiped by a cancellation. Cancelling the subscription is not the same as deleting the account.
  • Noom's coaching is part of the subscription, so the conversations with a coach end when the plan lapses rather than continuing separately.
  • If you cancelled in a store, check that store rather than the Noom app for confirmation. Noom's app may continue to show the plan until the store's cancellation propagates.

Cancelling a Noom free trial.

How do I cancel an App Store free trial before I’m charged?

For a trial billed by Apple, open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select the trial, choose the cancellation option and confirm. Apple advises cancelling at least 24 hours before the trial ends to prevent renewal. Check the confirmation for your access end date. If you track it in Subex, enter the date the trial converts as the renewal date and set a reminder 1 or 3 days before.

WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK

If you get stuck.

I cancelled in the Noom app but the charge came anyway

Check which channel actually holds your billing. Noom names its own app and portal, Apple and Google Play as distinct routes, and a cancellation in the Noom app does not stop an Apple or Google charge. Look at your receipt: a receipt from Apple or Google means the subscription must be cancelled in that store. Also check that you reached the confirmation rather than stopping at an offer screen part-way through.

I deleted the app and kept getting billed

Noom states directly that uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription, and that you must cancel through one of its documented methods before the next billing date. Reinstall the app, or go to account.noom.com in a browser, or open the store that billed you, and complete the cancellation properly. Deleting an app never cancels a subscription on any platform.

My trial converted and I want the money back

Act quickly, because the window is short. Noom says refunds may be available if requested within 14 days of your first charge, requested through the in-app chat or the contact form. After that window, and for renewal charges, Noom states that renewal charges are not eligible for refunds. If Apple or Google took the payment, the refund request goes to that store rather than to Noom.

The cancel option is not in my app settings

Two common causes. Either a store holds the billing, in which case the cancellation belongs in Apple's or Google's subscription list, or you are signed in to a different Noom account from the one being charged. Check the email address on the receipt and sign in to account.noom.com with that address. If neither works, use the in-app chat and ask support to identify the subscription from the charge on your statement.

I am on Noom Med and the rules seem different

They are. Noom describes separate refund terms for its medical programmes: refunds for Noom Med unless a prescription has already been written, and for telehealth for branded meds a 7 day window from the first charge unless a clinical visit has occurred. Cancelling the subscription and ending a clinical programme are not the same thing, so state which you mean when you contact support.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

How do I cancel my Noom subscription?

In the app, tap your profile picture at the top left, open Settings, then Manage Subscription. On the web, sign in at account.noom.com and choose Cancel Subscription. If Apple or Google billed you, cancel in that store instead.

Does cancelling Noom stop my access immediately?

No. Noom says your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing cycle even if you cancel mid-cycle, so you keep the programme until the period you paid for runs out.

Can I get my money back from Noom?

Only inside a short window. Noom says refunds may be available if requested within 14 days of your first charge, and states that renewal charges are not eligible for refunds.

Does deleting the Noom app cancel the subscription?

No. Noom states that uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription and that you must cancel through one of its documented methods before the next billing date.

What happens to my weight and food logs?

They stay with your account. Cancelling ends the subscription rather than deleting the account, so the history remains unless you separately ask for the account to be removed.
