Cancel The League, step by step.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad
Apple bills the membership bought in the iOS app. The League directs paid members to cancel through the app store, and Apple is the only party that can stop an Apple charge.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name (your Apple Account) at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select The League from the list of active subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
The League's own FAQ describes the same destination by an older path, through your iPhone settings to your Apple ID and then Manage, to turn off auto-renewal. Both routes reach the same subscriptions list.
Check the membership in your League account
The League's terms direct members to the Account section of the app or website to cancel a subscription. Use this to confirm which membership you hold and when it renews, and to cancel a plan that Apple is not billing.
- Sign in to The League on the app or the website.
- Open the account section from your profile.
- Find the membership or subscription entry and read the renewal date and term length.
- If a cancellation option is offered there, follow it through to a confirmation and keep what you are shown.
- If the screen sends you to the App Store instead, that confirms Apple bills you and the Apple route above is the one that stops the charge.

I deleted my League account and I am still being charged
The membership is held by Apple, not by your League profile, so deleting the account does not reach it. The League states that a paid membership has to be cancelled through the app store to avoid future charges. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions and cancel The League there. The entry remains in Apple's list even though the dating account is gone, and you do not need to reinstall the app.
I uninstalled the app and nothing changed
Two separate things survive an uninstall. The League states that uninstalling does not delete the account, and Apple keeps billing a subscription regardless of whether the app is installed. Removing the app achieves neither goal. Cancel the subscription in Apple's subscriptions list, then delete or deactivate the account in the app if you also want the profile gone.
I cancelled but I still have access, and I expected a refund
That is the documented behaviour rather than a failed cancellation. The League states that a cancelled subscription can be used until the end of the current term and that cancelling mid-term does not take effect until the next term, with no pro-rating. Check the Apple subscriptions screen: if it shows an expiry date instead of a renewal date, the cancellation worked and the access you still have is what you already paid for.
The League is not in my Apple subscriptions list
The list shows only what the signed-in Apple Account bought, so a second Apple ID is the usual explanation. Check which Apple Account the receipt email names and sign in with that one. If no Apple receipt exists at all, the payment did not come through the App Store, and the charge should be matched against the payment method on your statement before contacting The League with the date and amount.
A yearly renewal charged before I got round to cancelling
The League states the account is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends, so a cancellation in that final day lands after the money moves. The cancellation still applies to the term after the one just charged, so confirm it is in place rather than cancelling twice. The charge itself is Apple's to reverse or refuse, and that request goes to Apple.
