In this guide
Before you start.
- Decide where you bought it, since the cancellation has to happen in that channel. Fitbod documents three: its website at app.fitbod.me, the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Think twice if you are on a discounted rate. Fitbod says that cancelling a discounted subscription means losing that renewal rate, and that resubscribing requires purchasing at current pricing.
- If a refund is what you want, the window is short. Fitbod says customers may request refunds within ten calendar days of purchase by emailing support, and that after the ten day window the subscription purchase is final and you are no longer eligible for a refund.
- Expect to keep access to the end of the cycle. Fitbod says your membership remains active until the final day of the billing cycle, at which point it automatically expires.
- If you are still on the trial, note that Fitbod describes new users as receiving a trial period of 3 free workouts rather than a time-based trial.
- Cancel ahead of the renewal date rather than on it, so the cancellation registers before the charge is queued.
FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel Fitbod, step by step.
Cancel on the Fitbod website
Use this if you subscribed directly through Fitbod rather than through a store. It is the shortest of the three routes.
- Sign into your Fitbod account at app.fitbod.me.
- Find the Your Plan section.
- Select Cancel.
- Follow the prompts through to a confirmation.
- Note the final day of your billing cycle, which is when the membership expires.
If Your Plan shows no cancel option, a store is billing you and the cancellation belongs there instead.
Cancel an Apple-billed Fitbod subscription
Use this if you subscribed inside the iPhone app, where Apple holds the billing.
- Open the Settings app.
- Select your name.
- Select Subscriptions.
- Select Fitbod.
- Select Cancel Subscription, then select Confirm.
If Fitbod does not appear in the list, check you are signed in with the Apple Account that paid, or the subscription came from the website or Google Play.
Cancel a Google Play-billed Fitbod subscription
Use this if you subscribed inside the Android app through Google Play.
- Open the Google Play app.
- Select the profile icon at the top right.
- Select Payment & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Fitbod.
- Select Cancel subscription and confirm.
Use the Google Account that made the purchase, since another account will not show the subscription.
What happens next?
- Fitbod says that after cancelling the renewal, your membership remains active until the final day of the billing cycle, at which point your membership automatically expires.
- A discounted rate does not survive. Fitbod says cancelling a discounted subscription means losing that renewal rate, and resubscribing requires purchasing at current pricing.
- Your workout history and logged lifts stay with the account rather than being wiped by cancelling the subscription.
- Refunds are separate from cancelling and time limited: Fitbod's window is ten calendar days from purchase, by email to support.
- The app remains installed and the account remains open. Cancelling ends the subscription only.
WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK
If you get stuck.
There is no Cancel option under Your Plan
That points to a store holding the billing rather than Fitbod. Check the receipt: a charge from Apple means cancelling in iOS Settings under your name and Subscriptions, and one from Google means cancelling in the Play app under Payment & subscriptions. Fitbod's website route only manages subscriptions that Fitbod bills directly, so the missing option is telling you which channel to use.
I cancelled and lost my discounted price
Fitbod states this as expected behaviour rather than a fault: cancelling a discounted subscription means losing that renewal rate, and resubscribing requires purchasing at current pricing. If the discount matters more than a month of unused subscription, it is worth checking your renewal price before cancelling, because the rate does not come back when you return.
My refund request was refused
Check the timing against Fitbod's stated window. It says customers may request refunds within ten calendar days of purchase by emailing support, and that after the ten day window the subscription purchase is final and you are no longer eligible for a refund. If Apple or Google took the payment, the request goes to that store under its own rules instead, and Fitbod's ten days do not apply.
I deleted the app and kept being charged
Deleting an app never cancels a subscription on any platform, because the subscription belongs to the store account or the Fitbod account that bought it. Go to app.fitbod.me, or to your Apple or Google Play subscription list, and cancel there. Check all three if you are unsure which one holds it, since the charge descriptor on your statement will point to the right one.
I cancelled but the app still shows me as subscribed
Fitbod says the membership remains active until the final day of the billing cycle, at which point it automatically expires. Continuing access is the documented outcome rather than a failed cancellation. The check worth making is in the billing channel itself: confirm it shows the subscription expiring on a date rather than renewing on one.
GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
How do I cancel my Fitbod subscription?
At app.fitbod.me under Your Plan by selecting Cancel, or in the store that billed you: iOS Settings under your name and Subscriptions, or the Google Play app under Payment & subscriptions.
Can I get a refund from Fitbod?
Only inside a short window. Fitbod says refunds may be requested within ten calendar days of purchase by emailing support, and that after that the purchase is final.
Do I keep access after cancelling Fitbod?
Yes, until the end of the cycle. Fitbod says your membership remains active until the final day of the billing cycle, at which point it automatically expires.
Will I keep my discounted Fitbod price if I resubscribe?
No. Fitbod says cancelling a discounted subscription means losing that renewal rate, and that resubscribing requires purchasing at current pricing.
How do I cancel an App Store free trial before I’m charged?
For a trial billed by Apple, open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select the trial, choose the cancellation option and confirm. Apple advises cancelling at least 24 hours before the trial ends to prevent renewal. Check the confirmation for your access end date. Add the trial deadline to Subex and set a reminder so you can review it in time.
How do I cancel a Google Play free trial before it renews?
Open your subscriptions in Google Play using the Google Account that started the trial. Select the plan, choose Cancel subscription and complete the confirmation steps before the trial expires. Otherwise, the paid subscription begins automatically under the offer’s terms. Uninstalling the app does not stop renewal. Keep the trial-end date in Subex and set a reminder before the first payment is due.
