In this guide
Before you start.
- Find your 9-digit membership ID first. BeenVerified asks for it on the Contact Us and email routes, and it is in your Welcome New Member email and in the Account Details section of your account.
- Check who bills you. BeenVerified states that a subscription bought in its iOS app is managed by Apple, and one bought in its Android app is billed to Google Play. Paying on the website with a card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Venmo is still a BeenVerified charge.
- Treat the trial as the start of a membership. BeenVerified's pricing page describes a 7-day membership trial, after which the plan is billed monthly or every 3 months, depending on the plan you chose, and renews until cancelled.
- Cancelling and opting out are different things. Cancelling stops BeenVerified billing you. Removing your own record from BeenVerified's people search results is a separate request on its opt-out page.
FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel BeenVerified, step by step.
Cancel on the BeenVerified website
This is the route BeenVerified's billing FAQ and terms list first, for any membership paid on beenverified.com. The option sits on the My Account page rather than in the search dashboard.
- Log in at beenverified.com.
- Open the My Account page from the menu or the dashboard.
- Under Edit My Account Information, select Cancel My Account.
- Follow the prompts to the end, then note the date you cancelled and keep any confirmation you are shown or sent.
BeenVerified's terms state that once you cancel, the membership plan will not renew and future recurring charges are cancelled. Charges already incurred, including the current subscription period, are not affected.
Cancel by chat, contact form or email
Use this if you cannot log in or the account page will not complete. BeenVerified's terms accept online, email and Contact Us cancellation requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Start a chat with a support agent through Chat With Us Live and ask for the membership to be cancelled.
- Or open the Contact Us page, select Cancel Account and enter your 9-digit membership ID.
- Or email support@beenverified.com with your membership ID and a clear statement that you want to cancel.
- Ask for written confirmation of the cancellation and keep it.
BeenVerified also lists a customer service phone line on its Contact Us page for members who are not logged in. Have your membership ID ready if you use it.
Cancel an App Store subscription
If you subscribed in the BeenVerified iOS app, Apple manages the subscription. BeenVerified states Apple requires that you cancel it through your Apple ID account.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the active BeenVerified subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. You might need to scroll down to find it.
If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already cancelled and will not renew.
Cancel a Google Play subscription
If you subscribed in the BeenVerified Android app, the charge goes through Google Play and is cancelled there.
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Select Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select the BeenVerified subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions.
BeenVerified notes that uninstalling the app does not stop the subscription, and that you keep access until the current paid period expires.
What happens next?
- The membership stops renewing. BeenVerified states you keep your remaining reports for the rest of the paid term, and the subscription is not renewed after that term expires.
- Charges already incurred stand. BeenVerified's terms state that cancellation does not affect charges already incurred, and that you remain responsible for charges tied to the current subscription period.
- The account is not deleted. You can still log in to a cancelled account, and reactivating the subscription restores access to your earlier reports.
- Refunds are a separate request. BeenVerified handles them case by case through support@beenverified.com, and its terms say refunds are typically limited to one per subscription. Its FAQ says a refund can take up to 10 days to post to your bank, and its terms allow up to thirty days depending on the card issuer.
- Store charges are refunded by the store. BeenVerified states that refunds for App Store or Google Play charges must be requested from Apple or Google.

How do I cancel a BeenVerified free trial?
BeenVerified describes its trials as low-cost rather than free, and its pricing page sets them at 7 days. Cancel the trial the same way as a membership, from My Account, chat, Contact Us or email, before the 7 days end, or the plan starts billing at its regular term.
WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK
If you get stuck.
I ran one search and now BeenVerified charges me every month
BeenVerified's plans are memberships: its billing FAQ states the membership is automatically renewed to the same term until you cancel. A trial taken to run one search is the start of that membership. Cancel from My Account to stop the next renewal, then email support@beenverified.com with your membership ID if you want to ask about the charge. Refunds are considered case by case.
My 7-day trial turned into a monthly membership
That is how the trial is set up. BeenVerified's pricing page states that after the 7-day trial the plan is billed monthly, or every 3 months on the quarterly plan, until cancelled. Cancel now to stop the next renewal. For the charge already made, write to support@beenverified.com; a refund is a request BeenVerified can decline, not an automatic outcome.
I see a BeenVerified charge I do not recognise
BeenVerified's billing FAQ says the order was usually placed by someone associated with you, such as a family member or someone at your office. Compare the statement line with its billing descriptor page, and if the charge was unauthorized, contact support@beenverified.com. A pending amount after a sign-up that did not go through is only an authorization and drops off within a few business days.
I cancelled on the website but Apple or Google Play still charges me
A subscription bought in the app is controlled by the store, so cancel it in iPhone Settings under Subscriptions or in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions as well. If BeenVerified is not in the store list, check which Apple ID or Google account was charged on the receipt.
I cannot log in to cancel
Use the Contact Us page and choose Cancel Account, or email support@beenverified.com with your 9-digit membership ID. The ID is in your Welcome New Member email, so search your inbox for it.

GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
How do I cancel my BeenVerified subscription?
Log in, open My Account and, under Edit My Account Information, select Cancel My Account. You can also cancel through Chat With Us Live, the Contact Us page (choose Cancel Account) or by emailing support@beenverified.com with your membership ID. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are cancelled in the store.
Does cancelling BeenVerified remove my information from its search results?
No. Cancelling only stops your membership billing. To ask BeenVerified to remove your own record from its people search results, use its opt-out page at beenverified.com/svc/optout/search/optouts. That is BeenVerified's own process and is separate from cancelling.
Can I get a refund from BeenVerified?
You can ask. BeenVerified handles refund requests case by case by email to support@beenverified.com and typically allows one refund per subscription. Charges made through the App Store or Google Play have to be refunded by Apple or Google.
Where do I find my BeenVerified membership ID?
In your Welcome New Member email, or in the Account Details section of your BeenVerified account. It is a 9-digit number.
Does deleting the BeenVerified app cancel my subscription?
No. BeenVerified states that uninstalling the app does not automatically stop the subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, or on the website if you paid there.
