How to cancel Whitepages subscription.

Sign in at whitepages.com, click your name in the top right (or the menu on a phone) and select Account to open your Account Dashboard. Open the menu there and select Account Settings, where your membership details are shown, then click Cancel Auto-Renew. Whitepages emails a confirmation. If you bought Premium inside the Whitepages app, Apple or Google Play manages the subscription and you cancel it in that store.

Before you start.

  • Premium renews every billing period. Whitepages states memberships are set to auto-renew, and that cancelling stops future membership fees without taking away the benefits you have already paid for.
  • Check where you paid. Whitepages states that all in-app payments and subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google Play, so a membership bought in the app is not cancelled on the website.
  • Consider a smaller plan instead. Whitepages lets you change plan from the lookups section of Account Settings, and a downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Cancelling and removing your listing are separate. Cancelling stops your Premium billing. Removing a listing about you from Whitepages is done through its opt-out site.

Cancel on the Whitepages website

This is the route Whitepages documents for a Premium membership bought on whitepages.com. The option is called Cancel Auto-Renew rather than Cancel.

  1. Go to whitepages.com and sign in with the email address and password registered to your account.
  2. Click your name in the top right corner on a desktop, or the menu on a mobile device, and select Account to open your Account Dashboard.
  3. Expand the menu and select Account Settings. On a desktop it is on the left side of the dashboard.
  4. Check your membership details, such as remaining lookups and next payment.
  5. Click Cancel Auto-Renew.
  6. Look for the confirmation email Whitepages sends after the cancellation.

If no confirmation email arrives or the cancellation fails, Whitepages asks you to submit a request to its support team.

Cancel a Whitepages app subscription on iPhone

Whitepages states in-app subscriptions are managed by Apple, so a subscription bought in the iOS app is cancelled in iOS Settings.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap the Whitepages subscription.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription. You might need to scroll down to find it.

Whitepages states you keep access to the membership until the end of the current billing period after cancelling.

Cancel a Whitepages app subscription on Android

Whitepages states in-app subscriptions are managed by Google Play, so a subscription bought in the Android app is cancelled in the Play Store.

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right.
  3. Select Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  4. Select the Whitepages subscription.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Google states that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription.

Ask Whitepages support to cancel

Use this when Cancel Auto-Renew does not work or no confirmation email arrives. Whitepages handles these through a support request.

  1. Open the Whitepages support site and choose to submit a request.
  2. Give the email address registered to your account.
  3. Ask for the Premium auto-renewal to be cancelled.
  4. Keep the reply that confirms the cancellation.

What happens next?

  • Future membership fees stop, and the benefits you already paid for continue until the end of the billing period.
  • The account is not deleted. Whitepages states cancelling does not delete or permanently close an account, and you can reactivate Premium later after logging in.
  • Free searches continue. Whitepages allows up to 8 free searches a month without a membership.
  • Court Runner reports are non-refundable. Whitepages states the cost of a Court Runner request is not refunded because researchers are paid upfront.
  • Invoices stay available. You can download past invoices from the Billing section of Account Settings.

I did not receive a cancellation confirmation email

Whitepages sends an email confirmation after a successful cancellation. If it never arrives, check Account Settings to see whether the membership still shows a next payment, and submit a request to Whitepages support so the cancellation is confirmed in writing.

I was charged again after my first month

Whitepages Premium memberships are set to auto-renew each billing period, so a first period, introductory or not, rolls into the next one unless you click Cancel Auto-Renew before it renews. Cancel now to stop the following renewal. For the charge already made, submit a request to Whitepages support.

I only needed one lookup

Whitepages Premium is a membership with a set number of lookups each month, and it auto-renews. Click Cancel Auto-Renew to stop the next charge; you keep the lookups you already paid for until the period ends. Basic searches remain free, up to 8 a month.

There is no Cancel Auto-Renew option in Account Settings

The membership was probably bought in the Whitepages app, and Whitepages states in-app subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google Play. Cancel it in iPhone Settings under Subscriptions, or in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.

I see a charge I do not recognise

Whitepages suggests checking whether the statement line actually says Whitepages, and whether a friend or family member used your card. If you did not authorize it, use the customer care number printed with the charge on your statement. For a charge through a mobile app, submit a ticket to Whitepages support.

How do I cancel my Whitepages Premium membership?

Does cancelling Whitepages delete my account?

Can I downgrade Whitepages instead of cancelling?

Yes. Change plan from the lookups section of Account Settings. Whitepages states a downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you keep the lookups already paid for until then.

Can I cancel Whitepages in the app?

If you bought the subscription in the app, cancel it through your Apple or Google Play subscriptions, which manage all Whitepages in-app payments. If you bought it on the website, use Cancel Auto-Renew in Account Settings.
